With each passing sunrise, the walls of the house withstood ruthless sandstorms, prickly winters, and sultry summers. But through them all, Mairaβs heart remained untarnished. . And although she relentlessly waited for her true love that blossomed through the mysterious letter, her first love would always be that little girl who was everyone’s favourite, Maira herself. You see, back when she was a child, still bubbling with naive wonderment and bouts of untamed laughter, her father would pick her up in her arms as she ran back home after school every day. Tickling her and raising her high up in the air, he would ask, “who is the most beautiful of them all?” . And little Maira would pretend to be clueless, giggling under her breath, “is it Maa? Grandma?”. The tickles would only intensify until she finally said her own name, looking at her father with all the joy she could muster. . Thus, flooded with unconditional love throughout her childhood, Maira still radiated the same confidence and love for herself. And although she longed for company, each time the sun shone on Agniv Mahal, Maira loved herself and her life a little more, adorning her most suave sarees, playing with the marigolds, or dancing with the peacocks that graced the gardens of the Mahal. Just some me time! π My love β₯οΈ Every day, as she sat, she reminisced of a time long spent but not forgotten. Five years ago, when Agniv Mahal still heard the thudding from the gates being shut each night, somebody had knocked the door. Maira had grabbed her kerosene lamp and made the journey to the entrance, half agitated and half curious. She was an old soul like that, deeply in love with supple sarees, archaic wooden doors and windows, and of course, her soothing marigolds. . As she sprung open the door, she was amused to find no one at the door. At her doorstep, she found an envelope carefully crafted from a handmade paper, sealed with shimmery wax. . βIn years of passing by this house, I have loved you. I have loved the scent of your marigolds, the crackling of your gramophone, the chiming of your anklets as you walk. When the time is right, perhaps a month from now, perhaps when weβre old, I wish to love you from near.β . Shiny tears rolled down Mairaβs eyes. A lover of love, she had finally found someone who admired everything that she loved. And without having to give it a second thought, she began the waiting. . Seasons have passed ever since. The moon has waned and waxed hundreds of times, the mango tree has surpassed the walls of the house. And still, every day, she waits. She believes he will come in a bright hour this time. And this time, he will not leave. (HUUGEE Caption alert π¨) So first, I need to tell you that Iβve gone through enough & more with my skin throughout the years growing up.. & I have combination skin( which sucks- truly) & everything that I am talking about is based on my experience. The best person to recommend things for sure is your dermatologist. so… 1- What Iβve realized & want you guys to know is that Please get an allergy test. we Indians are mostly lucky & donβt have acute reactions for allergies but it does affect us somehow & in the long term. For example.. I am allergic to most veggies like cucumbers & tomatoes & capsicums & even potatoes[(ahhh.. I miss em French fries) but who wouldβve thought right] but two years ago my skin was bad.. but I remember I did everything right.. but why is my skin still not clean? So then I got an allergy test & I started ignoring all the foods my body doesnβt accept & today I donβt have that many issues with my skin.. yaaaay! ππ» 2- Eat clean & be smart.. know what your body accepts (like I said in the previous point) which doesnβt mean eat every other junk or oily foods & dairy foods.. study your body.. (see how your body reacts to what) cut down on things which you know will make your skin oily and drink water.. trust me when I say this – drink water..it helps in more ways than you realize.. at least 2 liters of just WATER. 3- DO NOT WALK OUT OF YOUR HOUSE WITHOUT A SUNSCREEN! EVER! EVER! 4- Use a good vitamin C serum (talk to your dermatologist about this) every day! It works wonders. 5- Moisture!! Moisturing your skin helps it heal better! And while you moisturize make sure you moisturize your neck region & eyes softly but completely. π 6- Donβt wash your face some gazillion times in a day .. wash it twice. Also also.. donβt use a harsh facewash which makes your skin dry. 7- Exfoliate your skin.. & your lips..not every day but when you feel like it. And if you guys have acne.. DO NOT rub on it.. you are just making it worse.. guys with acne.. donβt stress on it as if your life depends on it.. trust me I had it more than most of you even know. now I donβt.. (itβs cuz I took better care of myself π) Contd.. in the comments β¨ #Throwback π Shoo away negativity with a smile and sparkling eyes!β¨π§Έ Styling: @geetikachadhaofficial Outfit: @bythethread_official πΈ: @artem.enterprise Hair: @chakrapu.madhu Makeup: @tokala.ravi The winter sun glossed Mairaβs blue saree as she silently sauntered into the courtyard of Agniv Mahal. With her head held high, she gently sat on the stone steps as the mahal workers moved briskly, tending to their daily chores. Having witnessed many a story over the years, the mahalβs ancient doors were always kept open, making way for liquid sunshine to flow in and bathe its intricate carvings every morning. Perched on the mahal steps, Maira had waited in the same place for months on end now. Every morning, she would greet the workers in her elegant blue saree, before settling down and soaking in the melody of the birdsong that came by from the nearby hills. But hidden under all her elegance, was a silent heartache, very much in contrast to the bright sunlight that streamed through the doors and windows. And today was no different. Amidst the early morning hustle and bustle of the mahal, Mairaβs heart secretly yearned, that her wait would soon come to an end . . But on one breezy morning, as she looked herself in the mirror while adorning her silken saree, something changed. A scintillating ray of sunlight graced her reflection and it occurred to her that all this while, she was looking for happiness outside, whereas the purest happiness she ever felt always came to her from within. . This thought came with a sheer grace in her demeanour. Her eyes sparkled with joy and her lips hummed a soft little tune. While she had always been kind, with each new dawn, she showered more love and became gentler towards everyone around her. She would greet the workers in the marigold fields with liveliest hellos and she would spend more time with the peacocks, singing and dancing in their company. And slowly, she realised that the more love and hope she radiated, the brighter her own world became. . From that moment, there was no going back. Her heart became a fountain of happiness. Now, she laughed easily, passing the joy to everyone around. Stirred with enthusiasm, she even found more ways to love herself and her precious life. She would tell stories of love and bravery to the children and spend the afternoon hours immersed in the company of people. And, every day, just before the sun dipped into the horizon with its golden and pink rays, she would step out of the Mahal. . She would run to the marigold fields nearby, the air chiming with the melodious sound of her anklets. And as she caressed the fresh marigolds with her soft hands, she would remember her treasured childhood, the grandeur of Agniv Mahal and its people, and her newfound happiness. As these thoughts circled her mind, she would shed a tear of gratitude, followed by the most beautiful smile she could muster. You see, she had learned to live at last, and she was finally free. Dads…. ah, what can I tell .. well my dad… he always told me that he had a dream about me as a baby with long hair, big eyes, long nose, and dancing on his tummy with anklets two days before I was born. Ahhh. When I was a baby heβd always be away with business and then came a time where I was in hostel most of my life after that came UG and PG where I was away studying.. and I got into films… now I am his business partner.. but through it all, he has been a pillar. We donβt share too much we share just enough to know that we love each other and he knows I will always be his pillar and he will be mine. Why I am saying this, is because I know a lot of you there feel that there is some distance with the fathers and us. But the thing is, if you could see what is there in their minds .. youβll always be the biggest pillar in you papa bearsβ lives. They are away working their heads off – For us They are mostly strict about some of our choices – Because they want the best for us They donβt show out their emotions very often – Cz somehow the society has always told men that only the weak show their emotions out. Can they love their children equally as the mums? YES! It took me years to understand my father’s way of showing emotions. If you ask me who I love more? Mum or dad? What do you think my answer is? That one time out 10 I get my pout right, it has to be away from the camera! π€¦π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈ So these are the ones which got me reading nonstop.. you guys have any recommendations? πππ»lemme knowwww! π Just a Girlboss trying to build her empire π― β’ Styling- @queenandro_ Photography- @eshaangirri Make up- @makeupbyharika Hair- @chakrapu.madhu Organising team- @benchmarktalents TagsRashmika Mandanna aka Rasmika mandana Previous articleActress Lisa Ray Instagram Photos and Posts – September 2020 Part 1Next articleActor Sudeep HD Photos and Wallpapers September 2020
