unlike in the past, i kept silent about my recent disappointments and i tried my best to stay strong for my sons, and i kept PRAYING- listening to praise & worship songs all throughout the days when my spirit was weakening. AND i am proof, there’s wisdom in silence, and there’s strength in surrendering to God’s plan for my life.

i believe i’m still here because of my authenticity- sometimes it got me into trouble, but with me, you’ve always known that what you see is exactly what you’ll get.
For most of my life, i’ve shared with you, the highest of my highs, and the absolute lowest of my lows- until this pandemic- when a part of me needed to shut down to get reacquainted with & strengthen the REAL me.
Mahirap i-fake na happy ka kung nabasag naman ang puso mo. Nakakahiya naman magbahagi ng sama ng loob pag alam mo na marami ang di hamak mas mabigat ang mga pinagdadaanan. Kaya nanahimik muna ako… nag promise sa sarili, babalik pag SURE na genuine ang ngiting ipapakita sa inyo.
LOVE comes in many forms, and in many ways… during what the world continues to experience, like me, i’m sure maraming beses nyo ring inisip kung ano talaga ang nagbibigay sigla sa buhay ninyo, kung ano at sino ang may mahalagang pwesto sa puso ninyo. AND what is unexpected, what comes as a SURPRISE- well it can really make you believe that what’s meant to be shall always find a way.
pareho naman tayo, we’ve all had our share of heartbreaks & heartaches- but i still have faith, we all deserve to LOVE & BE LOVED.

November 3 we all had PCR testing because i was supposed to do a TVC shoot Nov 5… Testing was done in the morning.
8 PM when my sons, my whole team, and i (we’re quarantining together until the 12th when this batch of commitments will finish) got an urgent message: 1 of our drivers tested positive for Covid-19.
He doesn’t stay where we are all living now and he doesn’t drive for me, but he does take care of picking up & bringing home bimb’s homeschooling teacher, he regularly picks up members of my team from their homes, and normally when i need to bring many things & we’re a complete group, he drives our 2nd vehicle.
we just finished this same type of scare mid August to early September- but this time, dumami ang involved. 😢
The client was informed immediately, i didn’t do my pre-shoot recording on the 4th, on the 5th we all did the antigen test and we were still all negative.
That evening my dry cough started, accompanied by a sore throat and headache. i slept early and told myself, everyone would be in full PPE & N95 masks- kakayanin namin… i woke up still coughing, with sinus congestion, a persistent headache and fatigue. We did my hair & makeup & proceeded to the studio.
It was there that i started to lose my voice because of the nonstop coughing & my BP had gone up to 150/100.
Na prove sa kin kung gaano ka compassionate yung brand that i represent. Since i also produce, alam ko kung anong expense ang involved dahil hindi tinuloy yung shoot. Kaya nga pinipilit kong wag ma packup… Pero nag desisyon silang i-prioritize ang health ko at LAHAT ng mga katrabaho ko.
3 PM kanina nag PCR test kaming lahat sa team ko, hindi ako makatulog waiting for the results… Thank You God- for now okay kami. November 10, one more test para totally CLEARED na ang Team Kris.
i continue to pray na simpleng sinusitis, ubo, at laryngitis lamang ang meron ako… to be safe, naka isolate pa rin ako from my sons. i’m keeping myself well hydrated, naka bed rest, at ang challenge for me- total vocal rest. 🤐😷

i’ll give them the due courtesy to make the formal announcement, but starting early this November, i’m embarking on a project that a lot of you, my followers, have long been asking for… PURE ang intention nila na magbigay ng konting kaligayahan sa ilang piling mga linggo (meaning Sundays & not weekly)- siguro nga dahil gusto nilang magpasalamat na sa gitna ng pandemic na pinagdadaanan ng buong mundo, they remain the GOLD standard for providing excellent value for money pagdating sa essential needs ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino.
Maraming salamat sa kanila for thinking of this special project for me, and thank you because nangulit kayo sa mga social media accounts ko, nagsabing naghihintay lang kayo, na monitor nila, and that’s why this is happening.
Plus yung request ninyo na maging “ninang” krisy mas madali ko nang magagawan ng paraan – because i now have 2 unique brand partners, one for delivery, and another for all your supermarket needs. Very fulfilling because i’m overjoyed to be doing the job i love, and it gives me the chance to share my blessings when it really will make a difference. i was sent the high resolution copy of the @shopee_ph TVC that will start airing by sunrise… and i realized i cannot move forward without looking back & saying THANK YOU… @chitorono & @starcinema, Feng Shui will always be the movie that gave my acting career a new direction & for me even after 16 years, it remains my most iconic movie- thank you for allowing @shopee_ph to buy the intellectual property rights so that my comeback commercial would be a BRIDGE from what is nostalgic to what is the new normal… Even my last line in the commercial is inspired by 1 of the phrases popularized either in my 1st game show or Boy’s & my 1st late night talk show on ABS-CBN.
i am who i am as a media personality because i grew up over a span of 20 years in ABS-CBN… BUT i was 16 years old when i started fulfilling my acting dreams when Mother Lily of Regal Films gave me the opportunity to have a limited run series on Mother Studio Presents, and it was Tita Inday Badiday who gave a 14 year old me my first full length interview in 1986- both of those happened on GMA 7. And i was a few weeks away from giving birth to kuya josh when they took the risk of signing me to a contract to host Star Talk with Nay @akosilolitsolis & Boy Abunda. That was 25 years ago this month.
it’s not my place to say what will happen on 11/11, i am proud to be the face of @shopee_ph for a whole year, so whatever press releases you may read, please be like me & just embrace these lyrics- “it seems believing is worth the wait, so hold me and tell me it’s not too late, we’re so good together, we’re starting FOREVER now” – if it isn’t this 11/11, there’s still 12/12, 1/1, or what about 2/14? That’s got to be worth celebrating?
