Here’s the entire collection of my adult novels published with @harpercollinsuk ‘Flawed’ & ‘Perfect’ not pictured here! Happy World Book Day. 💚 i’m so excited to announce my new novel freckles will be publishing in autumn 2021! freckles is a story about connecting the dots, human connection and belonging. it’s a quirky one, told in a way i’ve never told a story before and i hope you love it as much as i do! i’ll be sharing more news over the coming weeks…xx to pre-order copy & paste this link https://smarturl.it/freckles_OS and thank you 😊 ‘Love Rosie’ (aka Where Rainbows End) has been given a Spring/Summer makeover for audio and ebook only, available from all ebook online retailers. There are a lot of cool cats out there who love the film but don’t know it’s a book so this one’s for you! Read me! 💛 My German friends…POSTSCRIPT paperback is out now in Germany 🇩🇪💙 It’s the sequel to PS I Love You and I’m not one to brag but it’s much MUCH better than the first one. 😆😉 Published by @sfischerverlage Thanks to Northside People for this reminder of my first ever signing for PS I Love You in O’Connell Street. The low waisted jeans, sparkly belt and pointy boots tell me it was 2004 😂 Martin Black, the lovely manager of Easons O’Connell St at the time, had a room filled with sandwiches and cakes beforehand. I had never even been to a book signing before and had no idea what to expect but I remember the queue was out the door and down the street and I was so nervous I could barely speak. I think it shows in my face. My mom, sister and now mother-in-law were there, and my husband’s Nana Lucy got the bus in for the big day. Emotional now remembering it. So many supportive people. Terrifying day, but a big day and it makes me smile today. ❤️ I was supposed to post this last week but America had more important things going on. Still does, but if you’re looking for some respite, the POSTSCRIPT paperback – the sequel to PS I Love You – is out now in the US 🇺🇸💙 Published by @grandcentralpub This beauty is out now. ✨✨✨✨ 💛💛💛💛 💛 Cover Reveal! 💛 The POSTSCRIPT paperback will be published in the UK & Ireland on October 1st. X I love this ROAR cover! 🥰 My collection of 30 surreal short stories about all the ways in which women feel the need to roar – the routines, the embarrassments, the desires – is out in paperback in the US June 16th. X This year I was asked to launch “How to Fall Apart” by Liadan Hynes, you know, be the person who does the speak-y bit at a launch. It was due to be published in May and for obvious reasons it was postponed until June 11th. I was so honoured to be asked to speak about this author and this book because that’s a big deal, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to do that for Liadan on her very big, important, momentous occasion. So here it goes: Liadan Hynes is one of those rare beautiful souls who is empathetic, compassionate and kind. All the things I love most in a person. She’s a fantastic journalist too which is why I don’t like to be interviewed by her 😁 The last time she interviewed me, we were sitting outside Portmarnock Hotel and I was talking so much and so loudly, falling down one of those thought-holes she sends you on, when, one by one, the bedroom windows started to bang closed around us. Because I’m that interesting…but Liadan kept listening! Not only is it rare to be this kind of person but it’s not easy to transfer all that into writing. She does it so effortlessly in her features, articles, interviews, podcast and now her first book. She understands emotions, understands all the nice and yucky parts of being human and can so eloquently capture these. As you’re reading about a heart breaking, you’re also witnessing it heal and there’s a comfort in that. You’re just rooting for Liadan the whole way through, loving her, her philosophies and her gang of fabulous friends who are all in on it together. This (non-fiction) book is not just for those whose marriage / relationships have ended but for everyone who is hurting in any way. I’m going to use the ‘journey’ word. Get ready. It’s a journey in how to acknowledge your feelings, how to be kind to yourself, how to help yourself feel better and, actually what I took from this, is how to allow other people to help you feel better because you can’t do it all alone. For you if you’re aching, unravelling and/or searching, or a gift for someone else. In these socially distant times, it’s like giving a hug. How to Fall Apart is out June 11th. Repost from @blossomfilms • Our leading ladies of #Roar. @NicoleKidman, @CynthiaErivo, #MerrittWeaver and @AlisonBrie. I got to meet one of my favourite authors, Karin Slaughter, and fangirled her without shame. I’ve read every single one of her books and I adore her stories and her writing. Her characters are my friends and yes I’m a weirdo. Instagram wouldn’t let me upload the entire interview here so whatever….here’s a sample of what we discussed and head over to Karin’s Insta to see it in its full glory. Thanks Karin. Now that I have your email address that means we’re best friends forever and I can’t wait to email you EVERY DAY.
