I’m finally official, ya’ll! When I was beginning I was a single, very young mother, was going to school and working. I needed all the encouragement I could get. I had a “friend” who watched me bust my ass non stop. One day, he smiled at me and said “your tenacity is cute”. He thought my life was adorable because I had a child and no financial stability. Little did he know that, that comment motivated me instead of breaking me. Through many years of heartbreak, failure after failure and fighting for my value as people throw me away, I am standing. I am where I am suppose to be. I am ready for my newest ventures. I am learning to celebrate achievements. All battling with mental health. On a day like today, I am here to support you from a far and to let you know to learn to celebrate every accomplishment and embrace every “failure” or “friend” because each are lessons to help you reach your potential. Exploding with love to all!! To my supporters who helped me reach this goal in my career, forever indebted to you!! You know who you are!!! XO
If anyone has seen this man please contact the Atlanta police department. He took the life of 14 yr old Nacole Smith in 1995 and we need to help her mother and amazing team investigating bring this man to justice. He sexually assaulted another young victim in 2003. They have a DNA match to both victims. Her mother, Acqunellia Smith is a power house and will not be stopped. Please repost this story. #justicefornacolesmith @crimecon

F*** distractions, if they don’t uplift you they are there to distract you, if you have to figure it out, it’s there to distract you. Planting neferous seeds in the middle of your goals to delay the growth of you true potentional. 2021 is coming and we are very hopeful but stay FOCUSED and you will make it no matter what 2021 has in its back pocket. A new Media and Teen Health Report published by the Center for Scholars and Storytellers (CCS) demonstrates that challenging yet realistic stories empower youth to learn more about mental health.
CCS conducted two studies studies investigating how 13 Reasons Why may affect teen mental health. The findings show that an overwhelming majority of teens who watched the show searched for resources online and spoke with a family member or friend about the topics portrayed in the series.
These findings are important to the ongoing conversation that content creators, educators, medical professionals and parents need to be having about supporting teen mental health. We must normalize talking about mental health by bringing together scholars and content creators, to unlock the power of research-informed storytelling.
