Lisa Ray Instagram – The passing of renowned photojournalist Danish Siddiqui has hit me as if he were a personal friend. As many others, I have been following as he chronicled our broken world while illuminating the human story gleaming in its cracks. Here’s a small collection of some of the recent critical moments in India that he has immortalised. Danish was the chief of Reuters in India and he was killed covering clashes in Afghanistan. In response to a tweet praising his courage, he once wrote: I don’t think there’s anything heroic about it. As journalists this is what we signed up for. It’s our DUTY to document what is happening around us.’
