Very very very lucky and grateful to get to work with these brilliant wonderful people. Thank you to the Academy for all these wonderful nominations. Including AIDY AND KENAN GETTING DOUBLE NOMINATIONS WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH EXCUSE ME?!?! BOWEN MAKING HISTORY (as uszh) AS THE FIRST FEATURED PLAYER TO BE NOMINATED. YES ICEBERG!!! KATE GETTING NOMINATED FOR HER SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW I THINK WHICH IS LIKE- HAS ANYONE EVER DONE THAT?!? QUERN!!!! I loved being with these people for so many years, but last year especially. Watching Heidi and Ego truly dominate the writers table every week and write and perform some of the greatest bits on snl! Watching Andrew, Lauren, and Punkie figure out a very confusing job during a very confusing time. Standing with my friends at that last show in front of an audience who came in and stood up for the entire beginning because they knew how much it meant to have an audience and so they said “well we will be the best audience you’ve ever seen in your whole life”. Laughing in the hallway with Beck and Kyle and Fran after the show and maybe that was secretly my favorite part of the week because holy shit they are so funny. The best after party when you can’t have an after party. Watching Chris and Pete make some of the greatest music videos we’ve ever done, somehow! Watching Alex effortlessly slide into playing Biden like it wasn’t such a huge fucking undertaking and under the biggest microscope. Having a coworker like Mikey Day, one of the most prolific and funniest writers and performers on the show ever, who also lets you fully crash into him and roll over his body in a deflating rubber ball. Watching Chloe kill her first big cold open and then doing it again a couple weeks later! Getting to play at an update desk with two old pals who’ve made that desk somehow the most joyful playhouse in the building. And of course, getting to hear Melissa sing Dolly and share her big heart and big smile and big fake titties with the world. Last year was a freaking honor, truly. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m excited and nervous and happy and overwhelmed and all the things to share a project I’ve been working on – my first book #ThisWillAllBeOverSoon . Wow what a treat to come back and get to throw myself around in a bubble and sing with my darling dear @fayedunaway! Shout out to FX and props and stunts for bringing to life what @kentola7 and I wrote on paper and then just basically handed to them to figure out. My ball got slightly deflated truly a half a second right before air, which is fucking insane as it happens in real time, but it just added to the chaos for me. I got a couple of bruises from practicing, but they really are love marks because I truly madly deeply love what I get to do. And who I get to do it with. Also—- congrats to America’s sweetheart @holtlauren on your first LFNY 💃🏻💥💃🏻💥

What a year it’s been and birthdays are even more “whatever” than normal right now but they also feel pretty lucky to have, right? This morning I woke up to these big birds in my yard and laughed that the turkeys came to say hello. But then I saw the crest on the heads and kept googling to find out what turkeys have balls on their heads at 8am while sleepy in bed so there’s that image for you. After an extensive 15 minutes of half asleep internet “research”, I’m pretty sure these are peacocks. Kevin took a photo of the prints in the snow and we are even more convinced now. I’ve never seen them before outside of a zoo and I’m pretty sure they aren’t supposed to live here. I texted Leda and she said “if that ain’t a birthday gift I don’t know what is… of course O’s love language is birds on your birthday”. Then she sent me a picture of us on one of the last nights out in New York, the day the world lost Kobe and he was honored by the players and fans during the Knicks game that night at MSG. It was not the easiest for either of us that night but definitely not for my little Leda, who wasn’t sure if she was ready to head to our seats for the tribute (also thank you to MSG for those seats!!!) But she did and we hugged and cried and what a gift to be able to hug each other and not worry about being the only people standing at that particular moment the photo was taken. And you can’t fall when you are flanked by two wonderful people- sweet Petey D and Leda’s amazing friend Rachel @k0kestagram That’s a great gift any day, but I’ll take it even more today on this day that I’m lucky to get 💙💙💙 ***also if anyone knows if there’s a good animal control that I should be calling, let me know. It’s not at all the point of what I’m sharing but I am pretty sure these birds need to be somewhere warm for winter

Thank you Fran Bennett for so many things. Thank you for teaching me my mouth is a “cathedral” which I’ve enjoyed saying for years because not only is it a little cheeky to say, but also because its a reminder your body is sacred and deserves to be treated that way by you and others. Thank you for being the first one to casually let me know I have a higher right hip- “darling do you know your right hip is higher?” while just walking past me- especially because at 19 or 20, I’m more concerned with where I’m “too fat” or not hairless enough or whatever the hell else and who knew I had a crooked back?!? And most of all thank you for that day in February 2002 when I auditioned in California and you asked why not wait for Chicago auditions and I said because it was cold there and I wanted them in a good mood when they saw me. She laughed. It was raining. I had only applied to one college after a roller coaster four years of high school, not knowing if I’d even graduate. Fran smiled at me after my two monologues and said “I’ll make your rainy day better. Welcome to CalArts”. 💜💜💜
Happy International Owen day (yesterday, because duh it’s me). Thank you for the beautiful post and for all your hard work on the G’Owen Strong ride, lovely Stacia! What a wonderful way to celebrate Owen and to raise money for GBM research. And I’m celebrating Leda too! This has not been an easy year (that’s almost a joke thing to say at this point) and I am so beyond proud of my amazing lil Leda for not only graduating her masters program but being chosen as the graduation speaker. That girl is something else!!! Leda told me last year that her mom planted daffodils when Owen was born. Yesterday, April 6, I walked outside to discover these had bloomed. I’m trying sort of unsuccessfully to grow my own and had no idea these were hiding there all winter. Thanks for all of these bright spots ❤️🎓🚵🏼♀️🌼 @takemetoyourleda
