Lisa Ray Instagram – It’s human nature to identify with particular forms of self-expression – as in, I am a writer, I work with words – but it’s also limiting. Pursuing creativity in any and all forms is my new mantra. It’s an approach that’s only become accessible to me at 50 when my self consciousness is at almost nil: I’ve matured into suede shoes that kick up puddles on rainy days. Tricky mind doesn’t have as much influence over me anymore. And in that note, I’m so glad @farahnasrawi came into my life REPOST @farahnasrawi with @get__repost__app Many individuals prefer to take up one-on-one classes with me because they want that time for themselves, while learning how to paint. I find it very rewarding for the person (and for myself) and it allows them to progress at their own pace, without feeling stressed out. Lisa Ray Instagram – @kathy.giusti is not only my personal idol; she established an organization that has disrupted the entire medical ecosystem to benefit Multiple Myeloma patients and beyond. Kathy lifted me when I desperately needed it. I remember her voice radiating from my phone, spilling hope and resilience through the Chemo ward as we chatted while I was hooked up during an infusion. Kathy’s efforts have changed the outcome for countless cancer patients. When a trip I tried to to take for @themmrf fund raising event (the pioneering organization she started to accelerate treatment options for MM patients) was thwarted by my side effects, I recall her telling me : ‘take rest Lisa. This is a marathon. You can’t run it all at once. Save your energy and be kind to yourself.’ Dearest Kathy, you’ll get through this, but I want to echo back the same. You have been tireless, you’ve achieved the impossible, now is the time to lean on others and nurture your body and soul.
