Well it’s that time of year again. Back to school for these two and off to kindergarten for my last and final baby. I feel funny. Like maybe I might start crying. Or maybe I’ll just run around the house for the next seven hours intermittently yelling FREEDOM!!! We’ll see. 😏❤️

I’m a dog person…well I love cats too but…there’s just something about these unconditionally loving beings that bring me such an abundance of comfort and calm. Yeah they’re a titch clingy…they’re always in my lap or at my heels or under my desk or on my shoulder while I’m trying to find my inner zen or what not…but truth is…I like it.

Introducing Frontline Fridays! Every month, beginning this week, I’m going to feature the work of a small rescue group on the frontline helping abandoned, neglected and abused companion animals. Rescuing pets that would be killed in shelters and finding them loving homes. Providing food and medical treatment for animals that are in desperate need. There are so many ways you can get involved, from simply volunteering for a couple of hours a week to spreading awareness by liking and sharing the stories posted; from sending in a couple of bucks to help with costs, to adopting a rescue. Any type of support you can show really, really helps. I had the great privilege of teaming up with the exceptionally talented gals from @homesort and the genius container creators of @mdesign to tackle my dumpster fire of a closet and my apothecary drawers in my kitchen…oh and they took on my fridge too! The results are beyond my wildest imaginations and I am deeply, deeply grateful for their help, their expertise and their vision. My closet had become the sort of anchor around my ankle that brought me such a sense of overwhelming despair every time I walked into it. All I could see was an insurmountable mountain in front of me as I stood among the chaos. Then came Home Sort and mDesign Home Organization Solutions to the rescue. They saw a potential I never could and created a space that’s not only functional but beautiful as well. I now walk into my closet, or open my fridge or reach for my herbs and feel a kind of peace and clarity and calm. I’ve always been a big believer of well organized spaces and their ability to directly affect the quality of your day, your mind, your productivity but having true experts come in and take charge has been an complete game changer for me. I really can not sing their praises enough! They saved me from another year or ten of desperately and ineffectually trying to tame these spaces. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Fostering two adorable rottie puppies who were dropped at an LA shelter with Parvo and left to die. Our foundation got them out and to a vet. The vet, God Bless him got them through the Parvo and then we had them transported up to Utah so we could care for them until they start thriving. I took this video last night for my mom but had to share with you all…poor Sarge…this is not how he imagined things going when I rescued him…😏
