In early June, the @jasonheiglfoundation ’s Namaste Initiative touched down in Nome, Alaska—a remote, fly-in-only community where access to veterinary care is scarce and the weather often calls the shots. Thanks to our grant recipient, @pawsofnome , dozens of pets received free spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, pain relief, antibiotics, cones, and the kind of compassionate care every animal deserves. This work was fully funded by my foundation, and I couldn’t be prouder. PAWS has been a lifeline for animals in rural Alaska since 2013, and it’s an honor to stand beside them in the fight to reduce shelter intake, prevent overcrowding, and end needless euthanasia. Every Namaste Day is a promise: fewer litters, fewer strays, and more lives saved. #NamasteInitiative #NamasteDays #SpayNeuter #JasonHeiglFoundation

COLORADO — Roaring Forks Valley, Aspen, Vail — ELLIE and CHIP are looking for forever home(s) with active, dog-dedicated human(s) who have time for adventures in nature and space in their heats and homes! Ellie is a 5 yo, 68 lbs, lab-hound mix. She spent the first 4 years of her life as a neglected backyard dog, then as a stray. Despite her past, Ellie is resilient! She is pure joy and loves everyone. Ellie has a signature move; she tucks her head and does a somersault! She had never lived in a home, so she has been in a live-in training program to get the skills she needs to succeed! She is good on leash, has solid recall, sit, down, place and is crate trained. She has an abundance of energy and is always up for an off-leash adventure. Ellie is good with dogs of all sizes. Chip “Chippy” is a 3.75 yo, 63 lbs, labrador-cattle dog mix (DNA tested). Chip is a higher energy dog who loves off-leash adventures and playing with dogs of all sizes. Chip bonds quickly and would be a great road trip companion, running companion and ride or die! He needs a strong leader to look to for guidance, as he is highly intelligent and can calculate how to make mischief. He is also very sensitive and soulful. He does have non-destructive separation anxiety (aka FOMO), but has been in a live-in training program, which has helped assuage it. Chip has great recall, solid sit, down, place and is crate trained. He can have a sensitive stomach, but it’s managed with a limited ingredient diet. Chip is a great dog! He loves to offer his belly for rubs and nestle his head into a hug. Both Ellie and Chip’s adoption(s) comes with required training sessions to transfer the training so that it can be maintained until she/he settles in successfully. Ellie and Chip have become best buddies, but they are not a bonded pair. Their adoptions are separate, as it is too challenging to find a great home for two larger breed dogs. For inquiries or to apply for Ellie or Chip, please contact her rescuer/trainer @blkatk9 or via email [email protected]

And it begins…#homereno #demo #diy #hashtag @joshbkelley working hard for the 💰
They were waiting in the pre-euthanasia room for their turn to die. Some as young as 10 weeks old—tiny lives that had not had a chance to begin. On Thursday, staff at the Kern shelter called my @jasonheiglfoundation in desperation. They were about to euthanize over 28 dogs—three entire litters of motherless puppies among them—to make room for a massive hoarding/boarding case. By the time we got the call, five dogs were already gone. We don’t know if any of them were babies. This is not the fault of Kern. This is the fault of backyard breeders and the public who treat lives as disposable. Twenty-eight Cane Corsos were dumped like trash, and the shelter had no choice but to clear space. But we did have a choice. And we chose life. We pulled 11 souls from that room of death: 🐾 Appletini – 10 wks, Female 🐾 Bellini – 10 wks, Female 🐾 Jameson – 10 wks, Male 🐾 Whiskey – 10 wks, Male 🐾 Nelly – 1 yr, Female, German Shepherd 🐾 Ming – 1 yr, Female, German Shepherd 🐾 Spencer – 15 wks, Male 🐾 Jordan – 15 wks, Male 🐾 Jerry – 15 wks, Male 🐾 Larry – 15 wks, Male 🐾 Norman – 15 wks, Male They should never have been in that room. They should never have been minutes away from death. But now, they have a chance—because we refused to let them be forgotten. Watch the video. See their faces. And please, help us give them the future they almost never had. Click the adopt link in my bio (tap my picture) and complete an application form. Please network this post as much as you can. Help us find them a forever home.
Just a year old, Stanley was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles in heartbreaking condition: emaciated, covered in infected wounds, and barely able to walk. Even through all that pain, his gentle spirit shone — and we knew we had to help. At the @jasonheiglfoundation , we stepped in to give him the urgent medical care, food, and love he needed to heal. And look at him now — a goofy, affectionate Mastiff who gallops into his forever home with sloppy kisses and a heart full of joy. This Giving Tuesday, I’m asking you to join me in making more stories like Stanley’s possible. Every gift helps us rescue, heal, and place dogs in loving homes. This Giving Tuesday, help us continue turning stories of suffering into stories of joy. Nova, Lola, Lilith, Liliana, Dave, Creed, and Coco. These incredible dogs have each faced heartbreak — from abandonment and neglect to illness and even surgery. Today, they’re thriving in loving homes, cherished by families who saw their worth. Behind every wagging tail is the @jasonheiglfoundation , and behind the Foundation are supporters like you. Your generosity makes rescues, medical care, and adoptions possible.
