My beautiful, fiery, witty girl turns 10 today. @joshbkelley put together this little video for her and I can’t stop watching it in wonder. Ten years ago today Adalaide made her way into the world and into our arms. She was the smallest baby I had ever seen. Weighing in at just 4 pounds 11 ounces. I could place her in the palm of my hand and her little legs would only reach an inch past my wrist. I started calling her peanut after that. My beautiful, delicious, observant peanut. Adalaide never crawled…she scooted. Little legs straight out in front of her. Arms paddling the floor. Faster then you can imagine! From room to room. Josh would joke that we should attach a swiffer to her butt so she could scoot and clean at the same time. Then one day she just stood up and ran. Not walked…ran. She made you work to make her laugh…still does. She has the most beautiful soulful eyes and when she trains them on you just know she’s taking it ALL in and yes…she’s judging you. 😏 If you are one of her people count yourself blessed. Her loyalty. Devotion. Care. Love. Is Boundless. We count ourselves very very blessed. Happy Birthday my beautiful Adalaide. I match your boundless love with my own…forever and ever. Mom

I have to share this gorgeously written and illustrated Childrens book with any of you out there looking for unique and special gift ideas for the kids in your life or the soon to be parents you know. Written and illustrated by the truly wonderful @robinwoodlife whose instagram account I just stumbled on and am so deeply grateful I did. This book is one of my all time favs to read my kids and gives me goose bumps and teary eyes every time I do. It’s just that beautiful. Enjoy! ❤️❤️
I never get involved in political discourse on any of my public platforms. I do not intend to start to do so regularly but…this…I felt compelled…I felt driven to share. This was so powerfully moving and honest and real. So profoundly sound in thought, opinion and empathy. Jimmy spoke my heart. And the heart of millions of parents across our great nation who are becoming increasingly terrified to send our children to school. Who lie awake at night in sorrow for the lives of so many children lost. For so many parents and loved ones who now suffer the weight of grief. A grief they will be forced to carry with them the rest of their living days. As the child of parents who lost a child…I bore witness and continue to bear witness to that kind of grief and though my parents found a way to continue on, they are marked and changed and saddled with a quiet sorrow that will never go away. I know they both would wish to spare any and every parent of a child this kind of pain. I believe…and perhaps it is just a naive and idealistic belief…but I believe we are ALL in this together. Right and Left. Middle and off center. It does not matter. It should not matter. These are OUR children. We must do what we can to keep them safe. To keep each other safe. Reform is not a four letter word. It is not the end of a citizens right to bear arms. It is REFORM. It is COMPROMISE. It is GRACE. If we can not get on the same side just this once on behalf of the innocent and the voiceless we are not the great nation I believe us to be. We are a tragedy. Repost @jimmykimmellive via news.com.au

Thank you @People for sharing why I care about banning gas chambers as a method of euthanizing animals in our shelter system. My home state of Utah is one of only three states where this horrific practice is still allowed. It’s disgusting that we are given no recourse for this evil but a petition to sign with the hopes we who care will be heard.
