Many moons ago on the set of Oldboy I got to share a scene with Lance, I was a bundle of nerves and he was all grace and kindness and warmth. Aside from it being my first time on a movie set I’d just finished The Wire and couldn’t believe I was working with THE Lieutenant Daniels, his calm nature and beautiful aura were exactly what that anxious young actress needed. A gifted artist and an absolute light gone too soon. Thank you Lance, may you rest in peace.

Lotta yous been waiting all season for this episode and you don’t even know it…see ya Sunday 🥵🤐
Please join my @africanservices family this Saturday March 18th in Harlem to celebrate the social and cultural achievements of African women. The doctors, nurses, and administrators at the Mekelle, Ethiopia Clinic treat the medical and emotional needs of the Ethiopian community. Whether you’re able to join us Saturday in NY or make a donation at the link in my bio, your contribution and participation will help ensure essential services such as nutritional support for women, infants, and children, as well as STI prevention and contraception for generations to come.
I know everyone has their cause but there is truly no donation too small (suggested $50 but anything is greatly appreciated) especially as Tigray works overtime to bounce back from a years long civil war. With love and gratitude- Ilf African Services Committee
Harlem-based mob boss Bumpy Johnson was known for moving a crowd through the art of poetry. In this clip, we hear his wise words come to life through the soothing voice of Ilfanesh Hadera, who plays Bumpy’s wife on “Godfather of Harlem.”
Catch the series finale of the show on @mgmplus on March 26th. #EBONYMag
