There’s very little national research about same-sex relationships and none at all about trans women which is especially fucked up because studies have shown trans people are 4x more likely to be victims of violent crime.
Overall, men are much more likely to become homicide victims than women but do you know what everyone has in common regardless of gender? If someone’s going to kill you, it’s probably a man.

The queen was born in a year when female life expectancy was 70.6 years but she died at 96. I’ll mourn all the people who didn’t get an extra 25 years with their loved ones because they didn’t have the finest of everything.

Half a million workers are striking in the UK today. It’s the biggest labor action in over a decade because people are sick of wages that don’t cover the cost of living and working conditions that are unsafe.
Strikes are powerful. But over time, there have been fewer strikes in the US – workers now have fewer rights and shareholders have more power. Last month, over 7,000 nurses went on strike in New York and after three days, they were able to secure more jobs and higher wages. Strikes work.
