Artemis Pebdani Instagram – RP • @centerforhumanrights The Iranian government has yet to take action to protect school girls from chemical attacks in classrooms. Parents of these students decided to take matters into their own hands by guarding a school in Zanjan, Zanjan province.
As more and more girls’ schools in Iran report chemical attacks, authorities are refusing to stop them. In some cases, high-level officials have blamed the students themselves.
The attacks have continued unabated since November 2022. Due to the lack of action, Iranian human rights lawyers have appealed for support from UNICEF, UNESCO and the WHO.
