Fyi- at least 700 school girls have been poisoned by the government of Iran. These are the brave girls you saw in newsfeeds and headlines standing up and protesting against the government’s tyranny months ago. The fight is still on. The Islamic Republic makes sure everyone pays for going against them. It is way past time for regime change. RP• @centerforhumanrights A mother of a high school student who was poisoned by gas in her classroom was filmed being assaulted by plainclothes agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in front of the 13th of Abdan school in Tehran on March 1. Girls in at least 26 more schools have reportedly been poisoned in just the last few days. This is after at least 700 have fallen ill from poisonings since November. The poisonings have resulted in many children being hospitalized with symptoms of fatigue, burning throats, nausea, headaches, and numbness in the body. Some victims have described fumes and strange smells, including odors of tangerines and cleaning agents. Parents and school staff are terrified. The Iranian government has not stopped the attacks.

RP @rx8hope The IRl has been executing Iranians at the rate of one person every six hours. This is the mass execution event about which Iranians the world over were warning. #stopexecutionsiniran #freeiran #iranrevolution #irgcterrorists #onesolutionrevolution Most recently #saeidyaghoubi #salehmirhashemi #majidkazemi three innocent protesters who were subjected to torture, sham trials, and forced confessions were hanged after they had sent a note from prison begging people to take to the streets to save them, signed Children of Iran. People poured out and were met with violence by IRI forces. Family members of those killed by the regime are now being arrested, harassed, and beaten. Routine actions of the IRI. IRAN is a country of hostages.
RP • @centerforhumanrights She’s an outspoken critic of Iran’s unelected “supreme leader” Ali Khamenei. For peacefully criticizing repressive state policies, activist Fatemeh Sepehri is in the Iranian city of Mashhad’s Vakilabad Prison, where her health has deteriorated, according to the Committee Following the Status of Detainees. The committee reports that in recent weeks, Fatemeh has lost more than 30 pounds and experienced abdominal bleeding since May 13. Political prisoners in Iran including elderly inmates are singled out for harsh treatment, which often includes denial of medical care. The threat of withheld medical care has also been used as an intimidation tool against prisoners who have challenged the authorities or filed complaints.
RP • @centerforhumanrights The Iranian government has yet to take action to protect school girls from chemical attacks in classrooms. Parents of these students decided to take matters into their own hands by guarding a school in Zanjan, Zanjan province. As more and more girls’ schools in Iran report chemical attacks, authorities are refusing to stop them. In some cases, high-level officials have blamed the students themselves. The attacks have continued unabated since November 2022. Due to the lack of action, Iranian human rights lawyers have appealed for support from UNICEF, UNESCO and the WHO.
It’s still happening. RP• @centerforhumanrights Girls’ schools in Iran continued to be targeted by chemical attacks after schools reopened following the Nowruz (Iranian new year) holiday. More than a dozen poison gas attacks were reported at girls’ schools in the country last week and more continue to be reported this week. RP• @centerforhumanrights The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that it will continuing punishing women for not observing its forced-hijab rule. After killing hundreds of street protesters, including children and women, and arresting tens of thousands for peacefully demanding “Woman, Life, Freedom…” After standing by as high school girls were gassed in class following their presence in the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement…” President Ebrahim Raisi’s government will soon submit a bill to parliament proposing “non-physical” punishments against women who do not observe the forced-hijab. “… [Punishments include] monetary fines ranging from 500,000 to three billion tomans ($50 to $60,000 based on current exchange rate), revoking driver’s license and passport, and imposing a ban on the use of the internet for celebrities and those who have channels and websites with high memberships,” said Hossein Jalali, a member of Parliament of Rafsanjan.

Now Fatemeh Sepehri, a women’s and civil rights activist, has been condemned to serve 10 YEARS in prison, after the appeals court upheld a sham sentence against her on the charges of “propaganda against the state” and “assembly and collusion against national security.” Her only “crime” was signing a letter that criticized Khamenei and said in part: “We rise against this anti-woman regime that has wiped out our human values and demand a complete passage from the Islamic Republic and drafting of a new Constitution for the establishment of a state in which women’s dignity, identity and equal rights are recognized in all areas.”
Still protesting btw. RP• @middleeastmatters Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of a Tehran neighborhood on April 5 to celebrate the birthday of Hamidreza Rouhi, a university student who was killed by the Iranian regime’s security forces during anti-government demonstrations on November 17, 2022. RP• @centerforhumanrights Kian Pirfalak was just nine-years-old when he was shot dead in a car with his family amid anti-state protests in Izeh, Khuzestan province, in November 2022. His mother has repeatedly insisted that he was shot by plainclothes agents of the Islamic Republic. Yet the state has sentenced protester Abbas (Mojahed) Kourkour to death for the killing of the boy. Kourkour’s family has stated that he was tortured into “confessing” to the shooting. His mother, Golanbar Kourkour, has appealed to Iranians to help prevent her son from being hanged while Kian’s family has recorded statements noting that Kourkour is not responsible for their son’s death. #StopExecutionsinIran #KianPirfalak #MahsaAmini #IranProtests #Iran #WomenLifeFreedom #StopExecutionsinIran #JinJiyanAzadi #IranRevolution #IranProtests #Mahsa_Amini #زن_زندگی_آزادی #مهسا_امینی

RP @centerforhumanrights “They flogged the soles of my feet.” “They took me to a place where there were no cameras and told me to drop my pants.” “ begged them not to, said I would accept all the charges. Executed today after a sham trial in Iran: Saeed Yaghoubi, 37, Sale Mirhashemi, 36, and Majid Kazemi, 30. They were arrested amid the nationwide protests, tortured into making “confessions” that were blasted on state TV in the place of evidence, and sentenced to death in January after a four-day sham trial. They were convicted after: – Torture – No evidence other than forced “confessions” – Denied independent counsel – Blocked from preparing a defense In the state’s Islamic revolutionary court system, they were treated as “guilty” with no chance of being proven innocent. The verdict was so sloppily written that it didn’t even specify who committed which alleged crime against who. Countries that have abolished the death penalty should speak out against this state-sanctioned killing. Intensifying diplomatic and economic isolation should also follow. #Iran #HumanRights #FreeSpeech #IslamicRepublic #IranProtests #DoNotLetThemKillUs al# abs_uro#

RP• @centerforhumanrights Are you a free speech advocate? Then listen. Dissident rapper Toomaj Salehi is in grave danger in Iran. Detained since October 2022, after joining street protests, he is now facing charges that could carry the death penalty or years of imprisonment. “I can confidently say that if it weren’t for the media coverage and international pressure in the early days and weeks, Toomaj might not be alive today,” a source told the Center for Human Rights in Iran, adding that the support has since faded. Toomaj Salehi. Say his name. He was a voice of Iran’s protest movement and now he could be hanged or jailed for years for peacefully raising his voice.
