Little IVF update: wanted to leave it a while from the last time I posted which was at egg collection, they got two eggs from me…
One fertilised and the other one didn’t. It was a super stressing time and the only thing I hear is to make sure I’m not stressed! 😂🤦🏻♀️
Since egg collection I’ve then been on the progesterone pessaries twice a day which I think are making me more hormonal and insecure than the jabs ever did at the start. (Let me know any ivf ladies that have felt this with the progesterone)
Last Sunday I had a day five fresh embryo transfer so it’s the waiting game for me now…
This is obviously my first IVF round and I’ve spoken to so many women who are on multiple rounds and you are warriors!
My advice it to make sure the people around you are supportive and caring because this is a insanely tough journey! You cannot be having extra stress from anyone!
I’ve found this part to be the hardest emotion wise. I’m feeling very insecure about myself, almost getting brain fog a lot, and holding back tears from sometimes silly things! But fingers crossed it’ll all be worth it!

IVF update:
Hey everyone – thank you to all who have messaged me yesterday regarding egg collection. I just wanted to do a little update.
Firstly I know this is not an easy journey, but since I spoke up about it i was actually shocked how many people are going through this or have been through this, I thank each and everyone of you for reaching out and sharing your story, it helps more than you know to have a community.
As many will know who’ve followed this from the start I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve earlier this year and that will mean I’ll hit an early menopause. My AMH level was 0.5 with is exceptionally low especially at my age of 34. I honestly felt like my world had been pulled from under me, I saw a family and little ‘me’s’ in my future but that felt like it was suddenly not so certain.
Anyways, to let you know where we are at… they managed to get 2 eggs yesterday from my follicles and with my AMH level I believe that’s good (obviously someone without my condition would have an abundance more)
But all you need is 1 good one so praying today that’s what they find out!
The egg collection wasn’t as scary as I had made out in my head, I was put to sleep and then woke up half an hour later back in my room.
I know the process is emotionally and physically draining for so many of us, and I know I’ve got a fair way to go yet, it’s hard to stay stress free when you’re wondering if those eggs are good enough because if they’re not, you have to start the whole thing again! It’s very draining and exhausting but everyone going through this, you are warriors! The next step for where I am at now is to wait and find out today if my eggs are good! IVF update:
I’m on day ten of the Pergoveris jabs (which is the follicle stimulating hormone) and day 5 of the Fyremadel shot (which stops me from ovulating) today when I injected my Fyremadel shot i caused this big bruise and it bled, that’s normal though and my nurse reassured me when I went in this morning for my scans. Everyone @thesurreyparkclinic has been amazing throughout and like a family helping me through!
Emotionally I think today has been the hardest day, I’ve been tired since starting the treatment but I hadn’t experienced too much emotional issues. Today I guess I’m just feeling a little sorry for myself and a little teary, I have to have extra jabs for a few more days then planned to give my follicles more time to grow bigger! The good news is they are responding to the treatment so I’m happy with that! I’m just feeling like a pin cushion atm and my tummy where I’m injecting is a little sore! Tomorrow is a new day! I have reiki and then going on a long walk! Fresh air in the forests always helps! Then acupuncture again to end the week! Thanks to everyone who’s messaged us about the IVF journey! I’m on day three of the first jabs and so far my main changes are sleepiness and headaches, I was worried I’d be a moody cow because of the hormones but so far (touch wood) I’ve been ok!
In the mornings I’m going out for a walk first thing followed by 15/ 20 mins meditation and that’s helping everything!
Mindfulness is important at the best of times so I’m making sure I’m getting my nature fix and time out when I need to look after myself! 🥰⭐️
If anyone is going through the same and has tips for me or anyone else put them in the comments! As I said I’m only on day 3 of the jabs so I’m still a novice, also Jermaine’s needle work today was piss poor! It’s so wonderful going back to the theatre 🎭 I always get goosebumps when I see the cast perform with such passion and it takes me back to the happiest time of my life when I was at the Italia Conti academy of theatre arts. I feel that passion shine through and I feel it within me!
