Celina Jaitly Instagram - #mothersday | Happy Mother’s Day to a Valiant Army Wife—My Late Mother, Meeta Jaitly ( Psy.D ) (Women of #kumaon Regiment) Before she was our mother, she was a soldier’s daughter and a proud army wife. Despite the relentless demands of army life and my father’s countless field postings as an infantry officer, she pursued her academic dreams with unwavering determination earning not just a doctorate in psychology but also two master’s degrees. And yet, she chose a life of sacrifice over personal ambition, setting aside a flourishing career to become a humble schoolteacher. Not out of compulsion, but out of love for her family, her soldier husband, and a greater calling of service. A stunning beauty who spent most of her youth waiting valiantly for a husband who belonged more to his uniform than to his home. As a commanding officer’s wife, she stood tall through long absences, silent worries, and the heavy burden of unspoken goodbyes. She became a pillar of strength for the regiment, inspiring countless soldiers’ wives to pursue higher education and reminding them that their courage and intellect were forces equal to any battlefield. The bravery of an army wife is not measured by medals or parades, but by the silent wars she fights in the shadows holding families together, hearts strong, and hope alive. With unmatched resilience, she raised us with dignity and grace on a soldier’s meagre salary in the 80s and 90s proving that the richest upbringing isn’t of material wealth, but one built on love, character, and unshakable values. The contribution of every soldier’s wife to our nation must never go unnoticed or uncelebrated. Celina Jaitly Instagram - I Lost My Children the Day I Chose to Leave Austria to Protect My Dignity, My Children & My Brother This is for all the men & women who reached out with their stories of abusive marriages. You are not alone. 11 Oct 2025, at 1 AM, I left Austria with the assistance of neighbours to escape what I had experienced as systematic oppression & abuse. I was compelled to return to India with only a minimal sum of money in my bank account to navigate the rest of my life. In India, I had to approach the court simply to enter & access my own house, a property purchased by me in 2004, long before my marriage, which my husband is now seeking to claim as his own. In order to do all this, I also had to take a big loan. Despite joint custody & a subsisting order of the Austrian Family Court, I am presently DENIED ANY COMMUNICATION with my 3 children & I am heartbroken! There has been repeated interference with my children’s access to me, including exposure to selective media narratives, resulting in obstruction of regular parent child communication, as well as brainwashing & intimidation to compel them to say things against me, a mother who has done nothing but care for them since the day they were born, moving from one country to another to support the career of their father. In early Sept, 2025 I was served a divorce notice by my husband on the pretext of receiving a gift ordered for our 15th wedding anniversary at the local post office, to which I was driven by him. THEREAFTER, I REPEATEDLY & LEGALLY SOUGHT AN AMICABLE SEPARATION IN GOOD FAITH, PRIORITIZING ONLY THE WELFARE OF THE CHILDREN. THESE EFFORTS WERE MET WITH DEMANDS RELATING TO MY PREMARITAL ASSETS & UNREASONABLE CONDITIONS INTENDED TO STRIP ME OF MY FREEDOM & DIGNITY EVEN AFTER DIVORCE. Overnight, I was required to justify my role as a mother, as a parent, despite being their mother & the primary caregiver to my children. My entire world was snatched from me in one moment. Celina Jaitly Instagram - It took me 5 years to come to terms with this episode of our lives but I have finally summoned the courage to talk about my ordeal to help many parents who reach out to @haag.peter & I as they deal with the trauma of preterm birth and loss of a baby. Peter n I want such parents to know that they can get through this. In personal experience we both can vouch that your Preemie baby is a true survivor. #preemies show us the power of faith & prayer and the fight of the human spirit. Remember that most #prematurebabies survive and live completely normal, healthy lives. PS: Preterm is defined as babies born alive before 37 weeks of #pregnancy are completed. The outcome of our 2nd spontaneous #twinpregnancy was bittersweet due to Baby Shamsher’s loss due to a heart condition.( I went into labour at 32 weeks due to my fathers sudden passing.) It was very difficult for Peter n I but we smiled after many million tears in this photograph (1) to seal a happy memory for our blessing baby @arthurjhaag arrival as he went straight to NICU in an incubator for 3 months immediately upon his arrival. The NICU was a strange & difficult environment. From our experience, accepting that there will be good days and bad days will help you to feel less shocked & worried when challenging days happen. While not an option for everyone, Peter & I moved into the same hospital in Dubai for the few months of #nicu as loss of Shamsher left us immensely anxious about Arthur and feelings of frustration, intense sadness, nervousness, disappointment, guilt, anger, love overwhelmed us too. So please know that you are not alone in how you are feeling. Know that extreme & sometimes contradictory emotions are experienced by nearly every parent of a preemie at one time or another. It is very important at such a time to remember you can be more effective as a team than individually so watch your teamwork as parents. Speaking, singing gently to your premature baby in the NICU is a great way to bond and feel close, even when you can’t hold him. Remember Impossible odds set the stage for incredible miracles. Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it. #celinajaitly

Celina Jaitly Instagram - #armyday Families serve too, just without medals. This photo was taken on one of my visits to Bhai’s unit in the valley. He had just returned from a long mission. For this photo, one of the officers who was martyred shortly after this photo on a mission, placed his own para beret on my head. Wearing it, I told him there was nothing in my life I had done to earn it, not even as the sister of a Para officer. He smiled & said, “Ma’am, our families stand behind us & pay an equal price of bravery while we stand at the front.” Today, I share a letter bhai wrote to me in 2000. I chose this letter because it captures something profound, the mindset of a young boy, newly out of school, already born to serve his country. He had just entered #fauj through the technical entry after school. After 12th, he was selected to study Engineering at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow, often regarded as the IIT equivalent of the Indian Armed Forces. In those days, technical entry cadets were required to spend a year at #ima , Dehradun. He was barely 18 plus, playful, trying to hook me up too 😁 yet already carrying responsibility & purpose. This letter reflects a boy who had accepted that his life belonged to the nation, even as he had just left home. Maj Vikrant is a 4-gen soldier, born, as we say in our family, with ammunition boots on his feet. Even in those early letters, he worried about me, our parents, our home. Behind every soldier is a village bound to him by love sacrifice silent endurance In our case, most of that village is gone. What remains are empty halls of a house once full of life with our parents, Colonel Jaitly (SM), & our Ma, Dr. Meeta my brother & our 2 dogs, Scooby & Muffin. As I return 15 years later I write this from those empty halls & a heart full of memories of what was, of what continues to give me courage. As written in that letter, Bhai went on to live the dream. He served with 3 Para SF, earned the Chief of Army Staff’s Commendation Card, & served with UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon. This letter reminds me that a soldier is forged long before the uniform, long before the medal, & long before the battlefield.

Is what my soldier dad always told me…. This image was my dad’s favourite, it was on the day of my brother’s passing out parade at IMA, #dehradoon I am so proud to be a war heroes daughter. It was not easy being an infantry officers daughter. My father was away defending the country most of my life, I lived in the fear that every goodbye was our last. But he never ever stopped being a good father… One of the strongest motivating forces behind all my accomplishments my father made me a strong woman. On his death anniversary, it still seems unbelievable that I will never hear his booming voice again. My heart still aches in sadness, my silent tears still flow, for what it meant to loose you no one will ever know. My Mom ( Dr Meeta Jaitly) Seen here in this photograph could not bear the death of her soulmate and also passed away few months after dad’s untimely death leaving a massive void in our lives. They fell in love at Lucknow command hospital after the 1971 war where my dad was recovering from bullet and shrapnel injuries… They fought the cross cultural and religious conflict just to be together. They taught me n my brother the true definition of love for each other and for the country. My mother insisted on spending the last few days of her life at the military command hospital in Lucknow where they first met, until my brother n I moved her to Sahara Sheher to breath her last surrounded by family…. Home is always when you come, home is always when I hear the rustle of your saree, smell the perfume of the dhuna that follows you & the jasmine in your hair. This #shashti I draped a Swarnachari #baluchari saree gold & ivory adorned with woven tales of Krishna Leela. It was bought by my late beloved mother from #bankura when I turned 18 years old. I do not understand kāno pori noi why I never wore it until today. It was meant for me a blessing from my mother who collected sarees with so much love since I turned 16 on her Fauji husband’s salary & her own modest teacher’s salary so that I would shine on festivals so that I would always find her love woven around me. To find the strength for śṛṅgār & to adorn myself in my late mother’s gift feels like a personal victory over unbearable pain life sometimes puts you through. Through this I realise that offering my obeisance to Maa has shown me I can overcome anything. So can you, for Maa always blesses, always protects. Wearing it, I told him there was nothing in my life I had done to earn it, not even as the sister of a Para officer. He smiled & said, “Ma’am, our families stand behind us & pay an equal price of bravery while we stand at the front.” Today, I share a letter bhai wrote to me in 2000. I chose this letter because it captures something profound, the mindset of a young boy, newly out of school, already born to serve his country. He had just entered #fauj through the technical entry after school. After 12th, he was selected to study Engineering at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow, often regarded as the IIT equivalent of the Indian Armed Forces. In those days, technical entry cadets were required to spend a year at #ima , Dehradun. He was barely 18 plus, playful, trying to hook me up too 😁 yet already carrying responsibility & purpose. This letter reflects a boy who had accepted that his life belonged to the nation, even as he had just left home. Maj Vikrant is a 4-gen soldier, born, as we say in our family, with ammunition boots on his feet. Even in those early letters, he worried about me, our parents, our home. Behind every soldier is a village bound to him by love sacrifice silent endurance In our case, most of that village is gone. What remains are empty halls of a house once full of life with our parents, Colonel Jaitly (SM), & our Ma, Dr. Meeta my brother & our 2 dogs, Scooby & Muffin. As I return 15 years later I write this from those empty halls & a heart full of memories of what was, of what continues to give me courage. As written in that letter, Bhai went on to live the dream. He served with 3 Para SF, earned the Chief of Army Staff’s Commendation Card, & served with UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon. This letter reminds me that a soldier is forged long before the uniform, long before the medal, & long before the battlefield.
