As we walked through the little villages enroute to #Nangaparbat , I met these young kids. They were asking for chocolates and sweets. Immediately it came into my mind about my childhood. I used to do the same; asking for sweets from tourists who were trekking.
Looking back to those humble beginnings and then forward to how far I have come – it was very emotional. And the journey continues.🙌🏽🙏🏽
I want to thank my family, especially my mum and brothers who sent me to a good school after they passed the Gurkha selection, and my mum for bring me up in the way she did.
To those who are dreaming big – it’s possible. If I can do it – so can you. Just don’t dream though – “Act on your dreams.”

I spent 16 years in the British military – 10 years with #UKSF and 6 years with the #Gurkhas – serving during some of the most challenging conflicts in modern times – while continuing to guide, smashing records and have 36x8000m successful expeditions. I know things could have been different for the good and the bad. But yet I never dwell on this; I embrace my existence for today and I’m happy. Make your moment today.

Today all our members and Sherpa guides have arrived at Camp One. There’s a lot of moving components. The majority of our Sherpa guides went up straight to G2 to drop tents and oxygen as our members will be moving to Camp Three directly tomorrow, leaving at 3 am.
Meanwhile our director himself @Mt.Sherpa and senior guide @guideyukta went to drop 800m of ropes and 20 snow bars so that other teams could use them to fix on G1. The big mountain community is very small and @eliteexped is doing whatever it can to support and work together as a team.
