Lisa Ray Instagram – Just as the full moon never gets old, the OG spiritual gangster’s legacy transcends trends and times and even modes of thought.

Thank you @penguinindia for this volume of extemporaneous talks given in Ranakpur, Rajasthan by Osho/Rajneesh/Bhagwan – the great mystic master who defies categorisation.

Decades now, I’ve been reading his works, listening to his talks and practising the meditations and techniques he offered in the service of inner transformation towards an awakened state of being, sometimes called Zorba the Buddha.

His words remain even more relevant today in a world of fractured attention that still yearns beneath it all for answers and wholeness.

I’ve written in my book #ClosetotheBone how my time in his ashram was deeply transformative. There’s a lot of misunderstanding of who he was and what he taught. For instance the documentary ‘Wild Wild Country’ never explores Osho’s invitation to step into greater awareness- or the techniques he taught to achieve direct realisation but rather focuses on the very human and organisational drama around him. He was never saintly and advised against it- from what I understand the master would have been deeply amused at the lingering controversy he still evokes.

Personally, I don’t pay attention to the drama and stories. I prefer to immerse myself in the words of this charismatic rule breaker, full of wisdom, humour and nuggets of insight that continue to be fresh and relevant to the human condition today.

Dive in.

Lisa Ray Instagram – Simona Kossak (1943-2007) Polish biologist, ecologist, author, PhD in forestry, and uncompromising conservation activist
They called her a witch because she chatted with animals and owned a crow, who stole gold and attacked bicycle riders.
She spent more than 30 years in a wooden hut in the Białowieża Forest, without electricity or access to running water. A lynx slept in her bed, and a tamed boar lived under the same roof with her. She was a scientist, ecologist, and the author of award-winning films, as well as radio broadcasts. She was also an activist who fought for the protection of Europe’s oldest forest. Simona believed that one ought to live simply, and close to nature. Among animals, she found that which she never found with humans.
