Rachel Hollis Instagram – Tracking my hormones in the notes app on my phone was one of the BEST decisions of my life. Truly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’d never really understood how my body worked or what to expect, until I started keeping simple notes. I’d just write down which day of my cycle I was on and a quick state-of-the-union.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Day 4 – great energy, super hungry
Day 17 – feeling anxious
Day 22 – breaking out, feel bloated
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By doing this for months I began to see very clear patterns to the way I felt based on what day it was. Then when I (inevitably) had a day when I felt like the world was ending, I could look back at last month (and the months before) and realize, that the same feeling, happens on the same day, each month. This allowed me to take better care of myself and be much more graceful with myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BTW – Why doesn’t anyone teach us this in sex-ed, would have been SO helpful. 🙄 | Posted on 30/Jul/2023 02:21:10
