EP 468: My 12-year-old self literally CANNOT beleive I got to hang out with the most popular girl at Bayside… and she was 100x cooler than I could have hoped!
@tiffanithiessen is easily one of the most grounded and present guests I’ve ever had on the show. We talked about motherhood, getting older, essential health practices and navigating hard seasons. Listen in wherever you like to listen 🥰
I read it once a year (at least).
I keep a stack of copies in the podcast studio just in case a guest hasn’t yet discovered it.
If you’re building ANYTHING and/or struggling with procrastination I cannot recommend it enough.
EP 467: Ever heard of Estrogen Dominance? Or researched how debilitating a hormonal imbalance of ANY kind can be?
I had no idea— until I was experiencing mood swings/irritability/brain fog, and felt like I couldn’t keep my emotions under control.
If you have a uterus, and you’re experiencing similar symptoms, today’s podcast episode is for you!
The solutions to balancing my hormones were surprisingly simple, but I couldn’t find them until I understood what was happening with my body. I hope you’ll listen to this episode, and if you find it helpful, share it with anyone who might need it too. 🤟🏻
love.
My next stops are… MINNEAPOLIS CHICAGO!
(tap the link in my bio for details)
PS – I promise more cities are coming soon *cough cough* Texas… stay tuned!
SAN DIEGO 🤩 We had a DJ. We had a dance party. We sang Lil’ Jon. We talked about bikini waxes and boobs and about my stretch marks. A lot.
We laughed and laughed and laughed. What a freaking blast!!
Thank you for coming out to hang with me, I love you guys so much!
Next cities on tour?? Announcing tomorrow 👀
SACRAMENTO!! I had so much fun with you guys last night! I’m pretty sure the theater was at least 150 degrees and I sweat through everything I was wearing, but I had a great time. Thanks for the hang!
San Diego, I’ll see you TONIGHT 😘
ep 462: When I read @todd_herman’s book an alter ego I reached out to his team before I’d even finished chapter 2.
So grateful to finally get him on the podcast to talk about confidence, imposter syndrome and how some of the highest performers in the world use a very specific technique to overcome mindset blocks.
Track. Your. Cycle.
ep 462: My kids are back at school (🙌🏻) and so today’s episode of the podcast is for parents.
4 kids, 4 different schools— my 12th year doing the back to school thing… I’ve got a few best practices to share including but not limited to, managing my own anxiety that my strong-willed child might start her own gang in 1st grade and use that power to steal Pirate Booty and/or sparkle pencils.
PS- the pic is from the inside of my youngest son’s binder. He made it as a reminder to himself for starting middle school and I thought maybe we could all use it.
ep 460: I have never asked a podcast guest if I could bring a guest to our taping— but when I found out @therealruthecarter was joining, I had to ask if my favorite stylist @champagnerosee could come and join us and Ruth graciously agreed to let us both fan girl over her in person.
What an absolute treat to hear about the creative process from a literal icon. Listen to this episode wherever you get your podcasts!
I’m so heartbroken to see what’s happening in Maui right now. The destruction from these wildfires is awful. So many lives have been lost already. Iconic spots like Lahaina Town burnt to the ground.
It’s devastating to behold as an outsider. I can’t imagine what it feels like to the people who call it home.
Hawaii is truly, the most sacred ground I know and her islands hold 1,000 cherished memories for me and my kids. I know the same is true for some of you as well and if it is I hope you’ll consider donating to help.
I’m sharing an option in my stories if it’s on your heart to help financially. I heard about it from @prideofgypsies who I trust to know the right place to give. Thank you for considering.
Sending so many prayers to any of you directly affected by this 💛
This shot is from 2016. It’s me, crumpled on the floor of @barnesandnoble crying because –for the first time ever– I was looking at MY book on the shelf of a bookstore.
My first book was self-published and the three after that were through Amazon so I’d never actually been able to walk into a store and see my book on the shelf.
When it finally happened, I UGLY-CRIED.
Books have always been one the most special relationships in my life… as a life-long book nerd, I still can’t believe I actually get to write them and that people read the words.
Today is #nationalbooklovers day and I just wanted to write to any fellow book nerds who dream of holding their own book in their hands– keep going.
It took me a decade to finish my first book.
It took me self-publishing that book (that no publisher wanted) to hold my first book in my hands.
It took 5 books to see one on the shelf.
It took 6 books to have a bestseller.
For most of us, the journey to publication is a very long (and sometimes lonely) road. Do it anyway.
Write because you love it. Write because your characters deserve a chance to live. Write the words you needed when you were younger. Write and write and write and keep going.
EP 458: I’ve dreamed of walking the #caminodesantiago for YEARS and today on the podcast I’m sharing the journey!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Typically it’s a 40 day, 800 mile excursion… but we only had a week and set out to take on 100 miles.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sharing the planning and prep, the route, the heat, the incredible food, the little hotels, the unbelievable (and unexpected) hives and edema that forced me to stop early.
For those of you who dream of doing physical endurance challenges or are looking for a new one, today’s episode is for you!
It’s NOT too hard.
You can do ANYTHING. 🤟🏻
Severely underestimated how hot it would be to do a 10AM run 🦞 but I got ‘er done.
🤟🏻 Happy Sunday y’all, lets get after it!
Maximize your success by focusing on ONE thing — you only have so much energy in each day— use it wisely. ⚽️
Nashville!!! It was my first time ever speaking in Tennessee and I’m so grateful to everyone who came out 🥰
Thank you guys for bringing the energy and laughing with me and holding space for each other— ATLANTA, I’ll see you tonight!!

EP 456: Totally Counterintuitive Things that Helped Me to Get Healthy! I’m throwing it back to one of our most popular episodes of all time.

EP 454: I’ve had 20 years of being an entrepreneur… 16 of those as a working mama. I have ALL kinds of advice whenever I get into a room filled with other entrepreneurs!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a recent KEYNOTE I had the pleasure of speaking to my favorite group of people… business owners! And since I was the closing speaker I decided to give the keynote I wish I’d gotten years ago as a newbie… What to do TOMORROW.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is tactical, old-school advice to help you increase revenue and profit in your business. Its also life advice for how to grow the business without sacrificing what really matters.
Listen in wherever you get your podcasts and please share with whoever you think it might help.
Many of us were made to fear money from the time we were small. We grew up in homes where money or food or security were uncertain. We learned to fear finances because there was never enough, and the adults around us were always stressed by the lack.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re not conscious of it, you’ll bring that same belief system into your adult life and recreate the “reality” you grew up seeing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I found this book (Creating Money / Attracting Abundance by Sanya Roman Duane Packer) on a shelf in Sedona and it’s the best thing I’ve EVER read about abundance — not just financial abundance but relationships, health, career— ALL of it. Highly recommend!
Ford was here ✨
Tracking my hormones in the notes app on my phone was one of the BEST decisions of my life. Truly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’d never really understood how my body worked or what to expect, until I started keeping simple notes. I’d just write down which day of my cycle I was on and a quick state-of-the-union.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Day 4 – great energy, super hungry
Day 17 – feeling anxious
Day 22 – breaking out, feel bloated
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By doing this for months I began to see very clear patterns to the way I felt based on what day it was. Then when I (inevitably) had a day when I felt like the world was ending, I could look back at last month (and the months before) and realize, that the same feeling, happens on the same day, each month. This allowed me to take better care of myself and be much more graceful with myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BTW – Why doesn’t anyone teach us this in sex-ed, would have been SO helpful. 🙄
