Leaning into the one spot not filled with hundreds of fellow tourists. I had to see it, but I really really don’t enjoy crowds. If I had to do it again I would pick the very first time slot of the day. As the day goes on the crowds build to the point that the architecture all but dissipates into a sea of humans. It’s impossible to get a clear view or a shot of the curves and whimsy of the space. It feels more like an amusement park than a tranquil garden. Can @ttiinnaahh and I fit down the narrowest street in the world? We have had a LOT of pasta while in Istria. . At 43cm/17 inches wide, it’s a squeeze for sure 😆. . Tina and I have been scouting the entire Istrian peninsula and the hinterland of Northern Croatia to meet the most fascinating people, welcoming families, and dedicated artisans. A lot goes into each day as we consider how to put together a cultural immersion tour of the region. . But above all, we balance it with fun! And pasta eating 😜 .
