Alex Meneses Instagram – We lost one of the greatest ones today. Norman Lear was a pioneer in television, politics and life. He completely changed the face of television with his groundbreaking shows. They were heartfelt, heartbreaking, in your face and at the same time hilarious. The man loved people. All people.
I had the great honor to work for him and know him just a little.

A few years ago I had a meeting with him about a new show. My dad had just passed away and I wasn’t taking meetings, but when Norman Lear wants to go have lunch…you go. Being with him reminded me of my father and I could not stop crying. Seriously. I couldn’t control myself. He sat with me. Held my hand and had me talk about my dad for an hour. I didn’t do the show, but it was the best meeting I ever had. Rest in Peace, you great human. I love you. The world loves you. We will miss your kindness and brilliance.
