098 – trusting in the waiting @jessicaoyelowo shares how she has learned to wait, trust and take bold steps of faith in her life. One significant step for her and her family was moving to Hollywood, and during this time, God kept leading her to the story of the Exodus in the book of Joshua. Jessica shares her insights from this section of scripture that helped her to trust God’s direction no matter how weird or insurmountable it seemed. HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY ZOOOOOË. Kind, beautiful, compassionate, passionate, feisty, fabulous, talented amazing girl. We love you so so much. You completed our family in the most stunning way when we welcomed you 12 years ago in Pittsburgh PA during Thanksgiving weekend while @davidoyelowo was shooting Jack Reacher!!! The @sagaftra strike is over so I can post about @lawmenbassreeves 🥳🥳🥳 This is my first post because this is my favorite pic of @davidoyelowo that I took while we were shooting. It was hot, they were wearing woolen costumes, but the joy of riding alongside @tosin.morohunfola and #forrestgoodluck made everything amazing! David has been working on this project for 8 or 9 years in total. He saw a true overcoming hero in Bass Reeves and wanted to be part of telling his remarkable story. He has done that and then some. I had the privilege of producing the show alongside him and many other talented people. None of this is done alone, but someone has to lead the charge. My King David. You are astounding. Well done for never giving up on honoring Bass. Well done for starting with the right intention and finishing without flinching. Lawmen Bass Reeves has started streaming on @paramountplus. The first 2 episodes are out now. Episode 3 will drop on Sunday!! (I also play a small role in the show as David’s slave mistress. It’s weird.)

I don’t want to be afraid of what I’m capable of anymore 🤩😭🙄🥺❤️ I think I got it a bit wrong about her solving the Apollo 13 problem while in labor, but she solved something difficult while in labor (other than how to get a giant baby out of a tiny hole). Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant woman. And then she raised a talented actor and singer and all round funny man when she was a scientist. 🤯 I mean maybe Jack’s childhood was a nightmare, but maybe she was actually amazing and wasn’t afraid of all her brilliance. That’s what I’m going for. LET’S GO!!!!
