Phir Waqt, Haalaat, aur Audience kya chaahti hai, yeh baat samjhe bina hi music banaoge toh obviously gaane nahi chalenge 😓 I asked other composers to hire me as an assistant all over again…. I was down and out & no one took me under their wing, & as for the media, they were all writing me off 💆🏻‍♂️ I felt my Hindi film career was over & done with, and the negative reviews surrounding my music & craft were gaining momentum. It was written in fine print for one & all to see. I remember this particular headline that broke me & cut deep. ‘Malik finishes last in this musical legacy of stalwarts; The musician lacks melody, creativity & the commercial music sense unlike his uncle & father.’ That trauma has never left me because I was judged, written off & forgotten; even before I was remembered for my music. I thought to myself & questioned as to how do I go about being #ANewMalik & not Anu Malik’s nephew or @daboomalik ‘s son , just on my own merit.🤔🤯 I snapped out of this disturbed state of mind with great great difficulty, but when I did, I got #Matlabi in life. I promised my self while creating this gem, that if #SoorajDoobaHai works well, I will give my blood,sweat & tears till the very last song of my career ♥️ Pt.2
