In celebration of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House Centenary, The Queen has welcomed authors, illustrators and binders who have been involved in creating a special new collection of miniature books to be displayed alongside Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House for visitors to enjoy throughout 2024.

As we look forward to exploring the 20 new miniature handwritten manuscripts written by 20 contemporary writers and illustrators, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, let’s revisit a special clip from our archives – when The Queen had a chance to explore one of the Dolls’ House’s original miniature books, a short Sherlock story by Arthur Conan Doyle, written and bound in the 1920s.
