Came back from shooting a little movie and Forrest took me right to the ocean… my happy place. We brunched at Dukes, hung out with Gidget the actual OG Gidget who was one of the first real female surfers. Her father a successful writer and producer (I was told who didn’t like her surfing and hanging out with the boys) couldn’t deny that what he was witnessing needed to be written about (a novel) then created for television audiences. This iconic show named after his daughter really put Surf culture on the map in the mid 60’s. We watched the dolphin play and the surfers ride in the most beautiful light. We had good talks and good coffee. It was a a beautiful welcome back home to SoCal. #gidget #malibu #surfculture #getsome #holdmetight @dukesmalibu
Another wonderful walk this morning. I feel so anchored in the outdoors. Took my shoes off and laid down on the earth for a while. My thoughts went quiet and I just watched the clouds go by. Whispered a prayer for my children. Had a beautiful moment in gratitude for the life I’ve lived.
