Debra Messing Instagram – NOVA COMMEMORATIVE VILLAGE One of the hardest experiences was walking into and through the Nova 6:29 exhibit. You walk into a Time Machine and it takes you back to the beautiful peace music festival where over 360 kids were hunted down, raped, slaughtered and mutilated. Imagine Burning Man. Free spirited, music loving kids dancing, partying all through the night and day. And then, surrounded by terrorists with machine guns. Trapped. An exact replica of the site, as it was found, stands in honor of the souls lost, and a demand to never forget. I spent an hour walking through the pop tents, and blankets the kids relaxed on, the music that had been playing blasted through the space. The dance floor and light show. Videos of The beautiful kids dancing joyously. A wall of every kid massacred that day. And then the tables… full of what the kids left behind. Backpacks, hats, shoes, sunglasses, jackets, sweaters, car keys. I saw a survivor searching for his belongings he left behind when he ran for his life. The portopotties that they hid in, riddled with bulletholes. Piles of burnt cars. It was heart wrenching. As I was leaving I met former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett who wants to make sure we don’t forget all the heroes of that day. We are coming up on 100 days that 136 hostages are still held in captivity by these barbaric terrorists. We have heard horrible stories about their treatment from the brave hostages who were released. They have been tortured, raped, starved, denied lifesaving medical care. A photo was released today of 4 girls—ages 18 and 19– with signs of torture and abuse. Where is the global outrage? Please pray for the hostages. Please call for their release.
