Megha Gupta Instagram – A few moons ago we found ourselves in Ooty, in the cold at the stunning @ayatana.resorts Incredible people, incredible hospitality, the views, the food and the warmth was 🤌🏻 We decided to go to a jazz bar and have some whiskey. On our way we located a theka (the Hindi word for a small alcohol shop and one of my favourite words) and one of us, make your best guess, wanted one for the road. Now this place was a SERIOUS vibe, and I with all my red lips and heeled up wanted to sit there and have a drink. Abhinav very sweetly told me maybe not today and the next time I’m in my torn pajamas he’d think about it 🤍 I took that as a yes, carried on to the jazz bar and then another and then another. An evening of fireplaces, cold weather, mountaintops, whiskey, the company of Nes, and Abhinav. I think love as an emotion can be confusing. We all have our versions of it. It’s anyone who is rooting for you behind your back. It’s your non negotiables. It’s your front row people. It’s your ride or die. I am so overwhelmed at this moment thinking about all the people in my life who tick all of the above. And then there is Abhinav, who makes an evening at a 5 Star Jazz Bar with a single malt as much fun as a theka (we couldn’t go back to that theka, but have been to many since).
