Jesse Jackson Instagram – Yesterday, the Chicago city council voted on a ceasefire resolution. Our founder, the Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., along with other organizations and grassroots organizers, sent this letter in support of the peace, to all alders in the city of Chicago and the mayor.
In a 23-23 vote with Mayor Johnson’s tiebreaker, we’re now the largest U.S. city to endorse a Gaza Ceasefire.
We must continue our work towards peace and common ground.
