Two days at the Sundance Film Festival has been a whirlwind. For musician Brian Eno fans the film “Eno” was cutting edge in that no two audiences will see the same movie. AI edits it differently at each showing. I so loved the director’s panel of New Filmmakers at The Box in Park City. Carlos Lopez Estrada MC’d and asked fantastic questions of these filmmakers that gave us great insight into why they made their movies and the emotional rollercoaster it can be. I’m here with my friends @jenniferlynnohara (co-writer of our movie script Cupid Fest-a destination comedy set in LA and Ireland) and @kathrynhollispeters who is a visionary with endless energy. And…we are having the best time with my high school pals who live here. So grateful to them for all their help and support. Thanks Katie and Mark. Yesterday @kathrynhollispeters and I attended the #IRISHFILMFESTIVAL in Santa Monica put on by #CIACLA run by Matthew Nevins and his sister Sarah Nevins with a wonderful panel of female filmmakers who have filmed in Ireland. It was inspiring. I finally met Academy Award winner #KirstenSheridan. Her father, #JimSheridan is a famous #Irishfilmmaker as well. He did #MyLeftFoot starring #DanielDayLewis. It was a wonderful event. Or as the Irish would say, “It was grand.” Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you all and may the luck of the Irish be always with you. ❤️🍀❤️
While in Orlando Jim and I went to meet Norma Coto at her beautiful home and flipped through her scrapbooks and listened to her tales of coming to America from Cuba. What a beautiful life with a beautiful and successful family she built with her husband, Dr. Manny Coto. She won awards as a teacher and even wrote her own cookbook with Cuban recipes. We love our dear friends @yadicoto @cotovino Norma’s son, @melinacoto and @oliviacoto who celebrated her birthday last weekend which our daughter @emmieec96 attended. Happy Birthday Olivia. It feels good to have such dear friends coast to coast and generation upon generation. Big hugs to all❣️
