It sure feels like it when I use the @lumix GH6 with the new 100-400mm and 2x extender.
Because of the m4/3 sensor this is equivalent to a whopping 1600mm focal length which is really the only way I was able to see this mama Moose and her calf more than 600m (2000ft) away.
Sure it’s not perfect, the IBIS can only do so much but it created a stable enough image that you can easily add a bit of stabilization in post to create a rock solid shot.
This would be absolutely impossible without a tripod only a few years ago.
I’ve been blown away at Lumix’s stabilization ever since the GH5 and I’m pretty jaw dropped at how good it is in the G9II.
I’m super happy with the decision to leave my full frame camera at home on this roadtrip towards Gaspé because I would have never been able to get shots like this 😍
Now I’m getting back to enjoying this epic nature that Quebec has to offer ✌️
