On August 16 alone, seven women’s rights activists were arrested in northern Iran’s Gilan province: Forough Saminia, Jelveh Javaheri, Yasmin Hashdari, Zahra Dadras, Zohreh Dadras, Negin Rezaie and Matin Yazdani, reports the Coordinating Council of the Iranian Teachers Trade Association.
