Christiane Paul Instagram – First time I saw this painting was in art class, in school. I think I was 10 or maybe 12 years old. I will never forget our art teacher telling us what one of the interpretation of the lamp was: the world public is watching what happend in Guernica, Spain- and did nothing, the world was paralyzed. I remember the feeling I had, looking at this painting, remember feeling the fear of the people, the chaos, the destruction, the desparation.
You can see and feel all of this.
These days this painting is back in my head, back in my thoughts and for me an expression of what is happening now.
