Sakura Roll Cake 桜ロールケーキ The sakura season is nearly over, but I still have a few more paintings to do of the lovely sakura desserts I ate this year! This is one of them- a sakura and strawberry roll cake from @shinjukutakano_official, a fruit specialty shop that has been in business since 1885! Despite running the shop alone, she has an impressive array of sweets, including this beautiful sakura mochi cheesecake. The cake itself is infused with sakura flavor which works suprisingly well with the rich and creamy cheese. It is then topped with a sheet of mochi, strings of sakura white bean paste, and finally a tri-colored hanami dango!
