520am and THAT’S A WRAP on “A Clüsterfünke Christmas.” This is Frank Clüsterfünke. A man of simple pleasures who enjoys chopping wood, protecting his family at all costs, tapping maple syrup trees before dawn, and…then lots more chopping wood. @anagasteyer & @raedratch created him along with a cacophony of other colorful, whimsical, open hearted, and hilarious characters in their first film together as writers and producers. Thanks to all involved, our producer @daniellevonz and ESPECIALLY our director @annadokoza…who is as good as they come, and then lastly my leading lady @vellalovell who is otherworldly. My body is exhausted but my heart is full. Can not wait for you to meet the Clüsterfünkes this holiday season. 🎄

I always felt different. I always felt “other.” I always felt that there couldn’t possibly be anyone in the world as weird as me. Growing up in the tiny, extremely conservative town I did, I knew the deal. I heard the slurs. I knew my time there was limited. Then I did a play with a summer stock rep company and I for the first time I met queer people, and people of different nationalities and backgrounds, and artists, and musicians, and I realized immediately THESE were my people. THEY felt “other.” THEY felt like outsiders. I loved them and they loved me and I felt myself step into my power and my personality for the first time. For some people it’s dance, for some it’s drag, for me it was musical theatre. I’m so grateful I found my tribe. Find yours. They’re out there.
