Had a great week out in WI hunting turkey with @arthelinoutdoors and Michelle of @owntheseasontv. Almost got the double with Eric, but the 4 toms and bearded hen didn’t cooperate after teasing us for nearly 2 hrs. After killing my bird the next day we were able to head up to Lake Michigan to catch a few nice walleye with @epicguideservice. I also landed my 2nd Muskie ever, on smallmouth tackle no less. Came back with some fresh turkey, fish, and even a chunk of a family rhubarb plant. Oh yeah, and Neil Diamond showed up to karaoke. Again.

“tHaT’s wHaT yOu gEt fOr lIvInG iN bEaR cOuNtRy” I love bears, they’re awesome. In most cases I enjoy seeing them. I don’t enjoy when they get desperate and ignore their innate fear of humans while in search of food. That’s a sign that the population is over the ecosystem’s carrying capacity. I love wolves too, but releasing them in Colorado because more people in Denver (who will never have to live with them) voted yes to do it, is absolutely mind numbingly stupid. What’s next, couple million free range bison roaming the center of the country? I’m sure the people on the coasts would be more willing to allow it. I wonder why

Sadly the 60 year old shed had to go in order to make space for the green house(s). There was power to that shed, so maybe some modern methods will need to be implemented so I can eat my winter tacos and shrimp cocktail with fresh citrus. Or at least so my trees will survive in dormancy through the cold months. Or I may need to find a space inside.
