The Albanese government has begun “cutting red tape for foreign investors” in an “anti-small business budget” handed down by Treasurer Jim Chalmers. This budget is reckless. “If you look at the Future Made in Australia, they are actually cutting red tape for foreign investors and big business to get a piece of it,” she said. “Where are the small businesses in that? I have provided $10.8 million for small business mental health support because they know how hard it is for the small business community. However they won’t do anything to ensure that they’re not closing their doors on a daily basis. This budget is an anti-small business budget. The smart city agenda is happening right under your nose. The reason why Yarra City Council wants to reduce the speed in some suburbs to 30 km an hour is because the plan is to eliminate the use of cars and get everyone walking or using public transport.
