Katherine Heigl Instagram – I am heartbroken and outraged by the recent cruel treatment of a wolf in Wyoming, which was tortured and displayed at a local bar. This senseless act of violence is not only shocking but a stark reminder that our animal protection laws fail to prevent cruelty and punish offenders adequately.
The penalty for Cody Roberts, who reportedly intentionally ran over the wolf with his snowmobile, taped the animal’s mouth shut, tormented the wolf, and paraded the injured animal around a local bar before killing the creature, was a mere $250 fine.
While it is legal to hunt wolves in this area of Wyoming, the law requires that animals be killed on the spot and not suffer heinous acts of abuse and suffering.
The punishment applied by Wyoming’s Game and Fish Department does not match the gravity of the offense and will not deter future acts of cruelty. Please join me in signing the following petition calling for Roberts to be charged with a felony: https://centerforahumaneeconomy.us/apr24-wolf?t=9cjmRf [Clickable Link In My Profile/Bio]
Katherine Heigl Instagram – We are thrilled to present the first ever solo exhibition for Katherine Heigl, an artist in many genres and a long-time collector and friend.
Heigl promises to bring a wide variety of media and genres to her selection of artwork, and we can’t wait to share them! The exhibition sales will all benefit her family’s non-profit, the Jason Debus Foundation. Founded in 2008 by Nancy and Katherine Heigl, the Foundation serves to end animal cruelty and abuse and celebrates the compassion, kindness, and memory of their beloved son and brother, Jason.
If you would like to be put on the First Look catalog list, just send us an email!

It was such a joy speaking with Maren Mullin of Gallery MAR about my upcoming show with Josh. “Mother Nature” happening Friday, May 31st at 6:30 at Gallery MAR in Park City, UT.
Art for a good cause 🐾 The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation was founded in 2008 by Nancy and Katherine Heigl. The Heigls’ desire to end animal cruelty and abuse inspired them to create an organization dedicated to animal welfare that would celebrate the compassion, kindness and memory of their beloved son and brother: Jason. Throughout his brief lifetime, Jason loved all animals, especially dogs, cats and monkeys, and he lived his life extending compassion and kindness to all creatures great and small. The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation helps rescue animals from kill shelters, create affordable and accessible spay/neuter surgery, vaccination and microchipping services to companion animals in low-income areas across the U.S and offer financial support to qualified partner organizations around the country, such as humane societies, rescue organizations, no kill shelters and advocacy groups. Katherine Heigl’s upcoming exhibition at Gallery MAR will benefit the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation. Be sure to give the Foundation a follow and learn more about how you help: @jasonheiglfoundation

#OnTheBlog: An Exclusive Interview with Katherine Heigl Gallery MAR is thrilled to present the inaugural solo showcase of Katherine Heigl, an interdisciplinary artist, devoted collector, and cherished friend, titled “Mother Nature,” opening this Friday, May 31st. In anticipation of her upcoming exhibition, we sat down for an exclusive interview with Katherine Heigl to discuss her artistic journey, inspirations, and the profound connection between her art and her philanthropic endeavors. “It feels like this crazy dream. I was – and really am still – very nervous because I know what it is to put myself on the stage, and I know you are opening yourself up, inevitably, to opinions and negativity and criticism, and I’m used to that in my other job, but I was really nervous to do it in this in this world. I told my mother a while back that it’s been this dream I’ve been putting out there for the last couple of years that someday I would love to do a gallery show. So when Maren reached out about it, and I was hesitating (not knowing if I felt ready and all of that), my mother said, “remember that this was your dream, you have to allow it to come true.” There’s no reward without risk right, so it just feels a bit like a dream come true and an interesting full circle moment for me. I keep trying to remind myself of that as we get closer. The whole experience has been really thrilling and exciting. I have all of these friends and family coming to the exhibition opening. Everybody has been so supportive. It’s funny, I don’t know the last time this many friends or family have come to one of my film openings, but they’re all coming for my gallery show, which I just find so wonderful.” Head on our to the link in our bio to read the full interview.
