This project proved tricky to dismantle, the dog was made of a glazed earthenware and as such a soft body with a glassy, glazed finish that would have been easy to chip.
With patience and past experience to call upon, the previous repair eventually came apart, allowing me to move forward and complete the restoration.
John’s reaction was priceless, the connection he felt for Belka linking him to all the working dogs he had shared his police career with.
