There are so many things we can do to make our cosplays stand out and what we always love to do is add loads of makeup to make me look as much as the character as possible. Of course you can’t change every face into every other face but most of the time, if we look very closely, we find strong characteristics of a face and transfer them onto mine. Give it a try! Dreams can come true. I always wanted to be Superman and last year my biggest cosplay dream came true. But as the Man of Steel you can’t just walk around on the ground and you know me I don’t like green screen pictures. I wanted to do it in real life. I wanted to fly. ☺️ So everything you see here is real. We had a huge crane and several different setups for different pictures. We also had a helicopter for a very special picture. We just used some VFX to get rid of the strings that were attached to me, the car or the helicopter. The flight with the car was the best feeling ever. It just felt so real. I mean holding a car above your head, flying 200 feet up in the sky, looking down and seeing the tiny persons on the ground while your cape is moving from the wind… all that was real so it felt sooo amazing. There’s no game and no character that I love more than The Last Of Us and Joel. I played both parts many, many times and the emotional ride of this masterpiece is still the same as it was during my first playthrough. After watching the latest documentary (Grounded II) about @naughty_dog_inc , the game, and the creation of it I was again super impressed by @officialtroybaker ‘s performance as Joel. Such an amazing talent. It’s so incredible how he (and of course the rest of the cast) were able to perform that good with those motion capture suits and the big face tracking devices in a an almost empty grey room. At @mefcc I was so lucky to talk to him several times backstage and usually I’m pretty chill when I meet big names from the gaming industry but this time I was more nervous than usual. Much more. Sometimes a scene takes ages to get it done. Especially when the timing has to be perfect and many people are involved. For this shot we had three people for the wire work, two for the camera and two in the shot. So seven people for an easy looking shot. But in the movie it looks amazing.
