We went for a walk round London in the sunshine today and found ourselves outside Chelsea Registry Office, where we tied the knot almost 7 years ago. It always makes me smile. 🥂

Yup… toilet selfie. Taken last night at the @hotelcaferoyal where I was guest speaker for @wealthihernetwork at their launch of ‘Healthier’ – combining to form a community dedicated to helping women build their confidence and knowledge around money and health. I spoke about confidence, which I have in spades when I’m working, but when it comes to taking pictures of myself I feel a bit icky. I very rarely take selfies unless: 📸 Someone else asks me, then I’m happy to do it for them. 📸 I feel REALLY comfortable where I am if I’m in public. 📸 No one can see me. 📸 I’m ’at work’ then I feel invincible. How do you feel about #selfies?
Have you ever said a last-minute “yes” to something that turned out to be one of your best decisions ever? I said “yes” to going to something today, when I was already double booked, but it sounded like fun. And I feel like I need a bit of fun right now. And I ended up spending the day with the nicest group of women, in beautiful surroundings, and glorious sunshine (that wasn’t tooooo hot, I’m very fussy about my heat). Thank you @rosiejnixon and @goldcollagen for inviting me to the @theboodlestennis event at @stokepark it was the best. Dress: @karen_millen Shoes: @lkbennettlondon

4 things I did last week to fill my cup that had nothing to do with work: 1. I walked for miles in between meetings. It helps me clear my head, as much as getting my steps in. I discovered a new route along the river last week, it’s one of the things I love most about living in London again – the chance to stumble across something new! Reuinited with two of my favourite people @saradavisondivorcecoach and @davidvitty for a joyous podcast recording. 2. I met @rosiejnixon for a catch up and conversation about how we can use our skills to help others. We are both women who pivoted in midlife, and it’s good to share the highs, lows and in between of how it’s going! 3. I had a VERY LAZY weekend. I did nothing productive at all and very much enjoyed it. Nick and I watched separate telly for three nights, so I binge watched The Secret Diary of a Call Girl’ with the utterly brilliant @billiepiper I’ve loved everything she’s been in, but I missed this first time around. So good. 4. Last night was San Juan night, where you write two lists. One of everything you want to get right of in your life – it can be emotional, a problem, whatever is bothering you. And a second list of everything you want to keep. Then you focus on the feeling of letting these things go, and set fire to the list of problems. Nick, Amy and I did it before bed, putting our ‘keep’ list somewhere safe where we can see it. I don’t do it every year, but it is a good feeling when I do. Who knows if it works or not, but it feels good. What #4things did you do to fill your cup?
