Damaris Phillips Instagram – After the pancake mix taste test I wanted to share my from scratch pancake recipe from my YouTube show. When you add the malt powder they are untouchable, with it they are still VERY good.
Brown Sugar Pancakes
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour (290g | 10 oz)
¼ cup packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Malt powder (optional)
1 1/2 cups milk (440ml)
¼ cup butter (60g | 2 oz), melted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 large egg
Method:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and malt powder if using.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side. | Posted on 31/Jul/2024 21:12:16
