Caption : Introducing my brilliant choreographer and collaborator @alexandra_green__ who has been instrumental in guiding me to explore new realms of movement, and allowing my inner dancer to grace the stage. I wondered if at the age of 43 it would be possible to take the stage in a Madonna/KB mic (!) and hold my own. But working with Ally proved that as you age your body can tell even richer stories. Since becoming a mother, my perspective on movement and expression has evolved in profound ways. The journey of motherhood has awakened a newfound connection to my primal instincts and a desire to explore movement in a raw and untamed manner. But also to use the repetitive and mundane aspects of domestic life to create consecutive moving mantras about the emotional peaks and troughs of devotional love, boredom, exaltation, survival. To mark 20 years, the record has been remastered by the award-winning Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios and will be accompanied by a treasure trove of early demos from 2005-6, alongside BBC Live Lounge and Rob Da Bank sessions. The special anniversary edition will be released on 180g audiophile black vinyl and as an expanded double CD, with unseen photography from the era. It will be released on February 13th 2026! Caption : Wow! Stunned and so happy that my Meltdown show sold out within hours of tickets going on sale! I am so grateful for every one of you that bought tickets and continue to support my career. Having only just returned to London this is honestly the best Welcome Home present I could have imaged, so thank you! I’m still settling in after the big move back and in the midst of figuring out being an artist and a mother. I wrote this album in California over 2020-2022, and it feels so exciting to finally start sharing these devotional songs with you✨ ‘The Dream of Delphi Bonus Extended Strings Version’ is available on streaming. It is how I originally wrote this song, slowly building, like a hymn or incantation, coming in over 6 minutes with amazing strings from Jake Falby (@jakefalby), harp by Mary Lattimore (@maryoverthere) and flutes and horns by Logan Hone (@loganhone), who all contributed to developing this sumptuous sonic world… I am so excited to share this original piece with you, which will also feature on the forthcoming album. For the shorter single version (which you have all already heard) I commissioned Ben Christophers (@benchristophers) to programme beats, bass and soundscapes for the ending, as I wanted a crescendo, a final burst of rhythm to take it to another place sonically. If you listen carefully you can hear some early recordings of my daughter Delphi saying “mummy, mummy” at the end. Coupled with the sound of a baby’s heartbeat from the womb and birdsong. Ben and I discussed the ending and how it could hopefully convey the power of transformation, the wonder of new life and the dawn of a whole new world for me. Caption : Thank you so much to everyone sharing and supporting the first single from my forthcoming record The Dream of Delphi! I wrote this album in California over 2020-2022, and it feels so exciting to finally start sharing these devotional songs with you✨ ‘The Dream of Delphi Bonus Extended Strings Version’ is available on streaming. It is how I originally wrote this song, slowly building, like a hymn or incantation, coming in over 6 minutes with amazing strings from Jake Falby (@jakefalby), harp by Mary Lattimore (@maryoverthere) and flutes and horns by Logan Hone (@loganhone), who all contributed to developing this sumptuous sonic world… I am so excited to share this original piece with you, which will also feature on the forthcoming album. For the shorter single version (which you have all already heard) I commissioned Ben Christophers (@benchristophers) to programme beats, bass and soundscapes for the ending, as I wanted a crescendo, a final burst of rhythm to take it to another place sonically. If you listen carefully you can hear some early recordings of my daughter Delphi saying “mummy, mummy” at the end. Coupled with the sound of a baby’s heartbeat from the womb and birdsong. Ben and I discussed the ending and how it could hopefully convey the power of transformation, the wonder of new life and the dawn of a whole new world for me.
