My debut record Fur and Gold is almost 20 years old, and she still holds such a special place in my heart… listening back through the whole album recently, side by side with producer @davidkosten brought a proud tear to my eye… no compromise, tons of space, shit midi sounds, tongue in cheek lyrics, thunder and lightning, girl group BV’s, heartbreak and magic… the record I had been waiting my whole life to make. To mark 20 years, the record has been remastered by the award-winning Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios and will be accompanied by a treasure trove of early demos from 2005-6, alongside BBC Live Lounge and Rob Da Bank sessions. The special anniversary edition will be released on 180g audiophile black vinyl and as an expanded double CD, with unseen photography from the era. It will be released on February 13th 2026! If you could go back in time, where would you go? “I’d probably go back to some incredible Egyptian matriarchal tribal life that I could enjoy being a woman in my 40s. Like, being the head of an incredible tribe and enjoying the wisdom and the intergenerational life and raising children and being a big tribe of family. I think that would be really awesome.
