Will race for doggos and PB&J. Road America was awesome, loved fighting hard for a podium around such a fast place, especially after we were dropped to last on lap 1 from a hit. Other fun things from the weekend, a special night celebrating our championship from last year, always humbling to see the passion from @whelenmotorsports. Spent some time watching around the track, fantastic viewing spots like the one above the infamous Kink, the intakes of breath as drivers flirted with grass and disaster are a special kind of thrill. Also visited a few local hotspots like Siebkens, complete with some truly excellent stickers. #BeIconic #CadillacRacing 📸 @bcpix

Weekend escape: the Traws Eryri route 🚲 A day and a half of riding across Eryri National Park in Wales, 200km and 4000m of elevation in around 11.5 hours, about half of it on all kinds of off road tracks, trails and roads, plus a few rocky gardens. We passed through towns, forests, around lakes, up and around mountains, classic Welsh terrain. Party pace (slow with times) was the way on the many gruelling climbs, and riding that line of fear and thrill on the way back down!Caffi (cafe) stops were encouraged, and our stay at the hostel looked a bit like a 9 yr old birthday party, featuring frozen pizzas, milkshake from the carton, salty fries and plenty of Haribo. I made the absolutely, ahem, ‘deliberate’ decision to forget my phone the next morning to make doubly sure I took in the stunning views that greeted us at every turn, and bask in the contented haze of sore legs that had been well and truly used. Fish and chips in Conwy to finish was sweet as. Many thanks to my fellow @cowleyroadcondors for opening all those gates and the top notch company. Oh, and my Strava thinks I may have overdone it this week. Progressive overload without the progressive 🫠 For the neeeerds, my setup was: Fairlight Secan 2.5 w/Chris King goodies SRAM Force 1x XPLR, 34t with 10-44t gearing Zipp Service Course XPLR 42cm bars and stem Zipp 650b 303 Firecrest wheels Schwalbe 2.25” Racing Ray/Ralph Tyres Time ATAC XC8 pedals Wizard Works half frame bag and snack pouch (usually filled with Haribo Jelly Babies 🔝) Apidura Expedition 14L saddlebag and top tube bag (minus socks because I’m a muppet, cue 3 day old, holey, muddy socks for the whole trip 🤢) P.S. my white @sportful_uk jersey may never be white again
