Yesterday marked three years. These anniversaries can be so hard, especially when away from my family. Asking for support was not something I could ever bring myself towards. It was something I did for others. But in these last six years of hard with Bennett and my dad, I realized that I was missing out on so much by not allowing those I hold dear to also hold me. Yesterday, my intention was to honor my dad. And because of you, Framily, yesterday felt like a celebration of his life and our love. We found him in music, stories, sweet pups, laughter, feathers, the forest and yes… in the fireworks. What a day! Thank you to the earth angels in my life who walked with me through the day and brought me so much joy along the way. Thank you @erinkrakow and @ben_rosenbaum (and Willoughby) for answering the call, picking me up and taking me to the woods to be with my dad. You asked every right question and held my love for my dad in both of your hearts alongside me and I’ll never forget it. It takes hundreds of people to bring a movie to life. There are so many stages of that process and every human involved is important to the making of it. But the ones who often don’t get the accolades, applause and awards, but who are the backbone of every production, are the crew. Yesterday, we had a handful of our biggest scenes in the movie. What began as a sunny day quickly became a storm. Strong winds, heavy rain. Power lines were damaged. The weather dropped down over 30 degrees. And once it became safe, we got back to work. In the rain and freezing cold, no less. The crew was dressed for summer and met a wintery, wet day with whatever extra clothes they had in their vehicles. They hauled equipment, kept actors warm and dry and nailed every shot. Zero complaints and all smiles. These movies get made because these crews work tirelessly to make them. I love these people. They are beautiful artists and tough cookies. I have so much respect for them and I am endlessly grateful for what they do. Today the sun shined down upon us. But if it didn’t, they would still be all smiles and they would still get that shot. #crewlife #crewlove #makingmovies #circuskids #welovewhatwedo❤️
