Irish woman loves potatoes – shocker! If I had to pick one food group to exist on for the rest of my life it would be spuds. We know they’re bloody delicious but I spoke to @mayrlife_official earlier this year and they told me potatoes are the ultimate superfood & let’s be honest you’d rather nail a bowl of mash than a green smoothie… Potatoes are a love language and this did not disappoint, tip: don’t scrimp on the olive oil- it’s good for the soul (and the skin!) 🥔 🤌🏻💛 would you try this?
Word on the street is that crazy plant lady is the new crazy cat lady but let’s be honest that’s been a thing since 2020?! 🪴 Seriously though: I’m all about finding joy in the chaos… and recently discovered that talking to your plants has been proven to improve wellbeing AND the lifespan of your luscious little green friends too?! Now… I have been know to kill the seemingly indestructible so I know shit all but, there is something addictive about seeing a little fresh leaf unfurl from a plant you thought had gone to another place. What do you reckon, are you full Titchmarsh territory or more of a give em some water when they’re looking a bit sad?!
Before filming this I felt totally frazzled, in my head, overwhelmed – it’s been one of those weeks / months / (years) where I’ve maybe taken on too much and feel a bit battered, a bit sorry for myself. Then I remembered that when I’m consumed in my own crap it’s best to get a bit of perspective by looking outward – doing something to lift someone else. Cute exchanges, smiles of joy, happy strangers, roadside compliments, someone said it made their day. Little moments of joy in chaos keep me sane and I want to do it everyday!! …where shall we head to next?! 👀👇🌹💘

Right now my mantra is to find joy in the chaos (it’s a reach this week for whatever reason but when it’s hardest that’s when I find it most important to actively chase). So while trying to pre-pack lunches, travel for work, keep up with WhatsApp groups and washing (their clothes/my hair) I am looking for little glimmers…. Do you practice gratitude?
