If your mornings with kids are crazy, here’s a simple tip: get them involved. Doesn’t matter the age. Little kids can carry a cup to the table. Older kids can help do the dishes. The task doesn’t matter, but the togetherness does. Use that time to chat them up about their school day, their feelings, or anything else. You’ll keep ‘em occupied, get inside their heads and maybe get a little help at the same time. Mom hack ftw.

I’m biased, but Southern California has THE best weather. Parents, what do you do to give your kids a way to expend energy indoors? When I dreamed of this home, I thought about spaces for my boys that would encourage and facilitate movement. I hired @treenetcollective to build our beloved Treenet in the kids’ playroom, and I have to tell you… it is dreamy! The kids and their friends love to climb up into it and read and lounge. “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” – unknown I talk a lot about traveling on my page, because it is a valued part of my life and always has been. Taking my boys to new countries and allowing them to not only “see” but experience the cultures has been an honor. We went to check out these handmade rugs in Morocco, and ended up using some in our new home. In fact, much of our home is styled with Moroccan influence. I look forward to showing you more in the near future!
