Emma Bell Instagram – It’s been a big week for our little family of four! Please welcome River Bell Robertson. Born on June 18th at home in a slow moving 12 hr labor that morphed into a fast and (DEFINITIVELY) furious 2hrs that brought my boy into the world.
An unmedicated home birth experience is not for the faint of heart- but honestly no version of pregnancy and labor is. I honestly can say I would not have made it through without the love and support of my friend and birth doula @mckhuebs who is my literal guardian angel and now (whether she likes it or not) a member of my heart family. And I still thank my lucky stars I met Abby Vidiken @lamidwifeabby who generously gave me the option of a home birth with a midwife despite me thinking that was out of the question for me.
We are cocooned in love, breast milk and yellow poo, and oh so many newborn snuggles and stretches.
