As we mark our 20th Anniversary, we’re celebrating the momentous progress we’ve achieved together. When Geena started the Institute, she was surprised by the lack of female characters in children’s programming. By 2022, female leads made up more than half of lead characters in shows popular with kids ages 2 to 11. When children see themselves reflected on screen, they know that they can do anything, and be anything. Help us maintain this progress for the next 20 years by making a donation at the link in our bio. #GDI20 #seeitbeit
